I while ago i was looking around the web and found some information about putting linux on an ipaq.... i now have one of these beauties but can't find the information again :|

Does anyone have any experience putting linux on an ipaq here? :)

I basically want to know if my pcmcia network card will run under it, and if i can get perl on it aswell... also i want to see how easy it is to revert back to the microsoft os if it all goes pear shaped... anyone able to help?:)

Last time I checked (a couple of months ago) you needed to flash the ROM to get Linux, and there was no easy route back to Windows (they were working on that at the time).

i was reading an article regarding linux / ipaq and someone complained about it not really being worth it in terms of speed......
just a thought, i am totally ignorant on the subject TBH

ta guys... i think i'm goner give it a go, since they say the compaq cambridge research labs will fix anything you break :D
