Wireplay guild...would anyone be interested in Joining it? I know in Asherons call the was once one I think Velvet was the pimp daddy (ducks from his Spinfuser).
I would like to see one as we already have a community via Gameplay.

Of course there are a number of problems the guild would have to side with Onmi-tek or the rebels as I understand it there is no inbetween (if i'm wrong correct me plz).

The idea I have to is to go Rebel and as soon as the game open's chose a server and get a foot hold in a town and make it are own and protect it from Omni-tek players (Alamo anyone?).:E

If anyone would be interested in such a guild ?(Hey we could be with omni-tek if we wanted, we can take a vote on which side to side with).

Omni-tek :trooper:
Rebel:fett:

Hehe thats who I see it anyway :E

Sounds like a great idea.
You can go neutral which does have alot of disadvantages i.e you dont get the rebels exp bonus or the omni cheaper gear bonus but you can move freely between omni and rebel cities if you go neutral for which i shall be doing

p.s you can chose a side later if you go neutral so that you can see the lay of the land as it were

A cunning plan...we could become bounty hunters:fett:
Well i'd be up for it if it gives me some people to go around with.

That bounty hunter idea may pay off to:E

I see your point about the skill bonus which real is much better then having better armour.
what do you think of my plan to become a bounty hunter:fett: we could earn money by tracking down players killers and Omin tek players and then blast the hell out of them for cash....just a role I'd like to play :E

Seems like a good idea, although I am already spoken for, would be good to see a bit of friendly competition

Well if we all agree we will go bounty hunter...one thing I personaly can not run the guild due to commitments In tribes 2 and a project i'm involved in (your here alot about this very soon). The best thing to do would be to haave a council of 'elders' made up of 4 people this i would'nt mind doing as it would mean we would all have are own task etc..

Hmm.. this sounds like fun.

I'm not entirely sure what's happening server side, but it's looking distinctly like American servers, although I, for one, am not ruling out a European based one.

So, what's the deal?

Omni Bounty-Hunters
Neutral Bounty-Hunters
Rebel Bounty-Hunters

Well, some pros and cons:

Omni Bounty-Hunters

Pros:

Cheaper equipment - In a job that relies heavily on arms, this could be a major, and attractive bonus
Excellent 'client' base - Both Neutral and Rebel can be hunted
Well established starting city - Omni-1, no doubt the best city in the map

Cons:

Slower experience gains - Rebels would quickly outsmart us
Higher animosity - Higher liability to be attacked in the majority of the map

Neutral Bounty-Hunters

Pros:

No animosity - Can theoretically wander the entire map without hindrance, which makes hunting easier

Cons:

Equipment is not cheaper - Means a lot of saving, and possibly a lot of downtime when killed
No experience bonuses - Hunting Rebel targets becomes more difficult

Rebel Bounty-Hunters

Experience bonuses - Levelling comes quicker and easier
Little animosity - The majority of the map can be walked 'safely'

Cons:

More expensive equipment - Omni would quickly outgun us

That's a list of pros and cons as I see them. Fairly simplistic, but it oulines the problems immediately.

As for leadership. As this is a new game, I believe an 'Elder' structure would be more beneficial. Might I suggest an odd number, perhaps 5? This would ensure there were never any stalemates, unless one member happened to abstain from any voting. Then it would be put to the vote throughout the Clan.

Anyway, hope that's helped somewhat.

Also a neutral can not attack he/she can only defend.
I would'nt mind going Rebel, you can get omni gear from the black market anyway.

I thought FunCom were making it so that Rebels couldn't use Omni-specific weaponry ?

Pish... I would like to be in a wireplay guild, but I was planning to play Omni... how about we have 2, one for Omni and one for Rebel? :)

Suppose we could have two factions. But from what I hear, there`s going to be a lot of people playing Omni. It makes it more fun fighting for the Cause!

Right, who can make spinkee web-sites ?
