I would like to get your opinion of the best games for the following genres

First Person Shooter?
Role-Playing?
Real-Time Stategy?
Driving?

Half life (if ya dont mind having to download tons of mods)
Baldurs Gate 2 (god damn this game is huge...)
Shogun (raaaaah! Ninja battle! :D)
nothing really comes to mind...

this is just for PC though, did you mean the best games on PC or all formats? :)

If so...probably none of my choices would change but I would say Metropolis Street Racer or Gran turismo 2 for the racing game :E

RPG - Hmm Diablo 2 or Dues Ex is classed an an RPG
Real Time Strategy - classic would be red alert (first one)
Driving - Hmm driver2 is pretty good.

Best RPG - Baldur's Gate 2 (The king of RPG)

the best:
1st person shooter is UNREAL TOURNAMENT (or soon RED FACTION)
1st person driver is INSANE
Real Time Strategy is COMMANDOS BehindEnemyLines or
BeyondTheCallOfDuty(or wait for COMMANDOS 2)
and the best RPG is Baldurs Gate 2.
