I finally got linux installed (Mandrake 7.2) but I think I chose the wrong option for what I wanted to use it for.

I chose development but I think I should have chosen workstation.

How can I switch it so I have the nice GUI Desktop and working as a workstation? Please don't say I have to reinstall.

You shouldn't have to install, but you will need to add in a whole load of packages that it hasn't installed yet from the CD. I'd imagine Mandrake uses a version of the red hat package manager so it's just a case of figuring out how to get that running and then knowing which packages to install. Seeing as I've never used Mandrake I'll let one of our Mandrake fans sort you out on that one ;)

TBH i'd just do a fresh install as it saves a hell of a lot of hassle
