I been playing around with Linux a bit and my 'Start' button is missing!!! And also I cant find my windows directory ;(

This is an advanced feature of Linux that Microsoft have copied. To enable this feature in Win95 (and I think Win98) hit CTRL+ESC, then ALT+MINUS+C.

start x on linux and hit ctrl alt backspace

usally solves the prob for me :)
