That massive bridge, how do you expect me to walk the whole length without shooting someone. bloody rediculous :) As a result the enemy offence get a tad annoyed with me constantly tranqulising them. mwuhahaha

Is there a word for this behavoir?
How about sideways tracking?
Whereby when attacking an enemy base you shoot enemy attackers without slowing your movement forward.

Is this lame? Or is it common sense. Im fed up with being called lame and scum and other stuff because when attacking my defensive instincts take over :)

It's just the same as a medic shooting on the way past or whatever. Not lame, as long as you don't cry if/when they start getting soldiers to shoot the crap out of you on the way past in retaliation.

This is what people get confused over, it's not backtracking, it's a passing shot. If everyone would just read the 'definition' more closely, there would be no problem. It's just that some people get infuriated over this and think you're backtracking so end up DM'ing you. So then, they're really pi$$ed off and decide that all who cross the bridge will suffer the same as they're expecting the same kind of thing. It just draws everyone in - viscious cyle.

I dont mind but.....firstly if you shoot then someone will shoot back I tend not to shoot in middle ground anymore because its more hassle than its worth and I normaly say soz if I do cos it gives other people no room to start whining and comlaining.
secondly I think that firing lots of shots sad specialy when one side isnt shooting back. Although I take so much satisfaction winning agsist clans who DM throw grens in NML
I even got grenaded last night near my cap point which is fair play becaise :-
1. we had the cap anyway (even if Evo did cap it :( )
2. Its them wasting the gren wow it slowed down the cap by a full 5 seconds well done your better off saving that gren to try and get yourself another cap.
I do dislike people who go "point" when they die near the cap point it shows that they are totaly bothered by individual score rather than team play (Yes im bothered by personal score myself.....but I know that Im not impressing anyone in a team game If we win then the othere side respects my team me included and I dont need to impress my own clan because they know my ability.

If soeone is playing spy and they want to tranq someone crossing the bridge then that's fine - you just gotta expect the beating that you'll get from pissing people off on public servers.

I don't see any problem with it. If someone was doing it a clan game then fine - it's a waste of a player having a spy (imo) so that's there loss.

Nothing comes close (because I am so sad) to tranquing a sniper from the 2Fort bridge, and finding out that he was clinging to life with only 3 or 4 health points and I've delivered the coup de grace.

Yeh that is pretty damn sweet but someone played their trump card the other day - I got medpacked to death just outside my cap point when I was about to score. Just to sh*t on my shallow grave a sniper quickly whipped up the flag and finished the job.

Medpacked dammit. Of all the possible deaths, getting medpacked puts you in your place alright.

Actually, all the 'weak weapon' kills are infinitely more satisfying.

I wonder why, because you know that someone is obviously nearly dead anyway before you came along - I suppose it's a bit like sticking your last 50p in a fruit machine and winning a fiver.

Personally I f*cking hate server rules, i`ll play by them if they're enforced but if not its fun just to have a free for all, shoot who the hell you want and btrack the flag carrier, hey why not as long as you keep caping for the team :)

Cant say i`ve been a btracking spy reciently but its fun going out as a soldier and killing as many people as possible staying in your own half then running back for a refil then doing it again
