Just experianced my first taste of being killed by another player.I was involved in a game on a EU server, Myself and 3 lightweight lvls :) were playing on the forest and arrived at the tp to F2. The 4th player proceded to arive, and his animation looked like he was casting a spell.

Myself and the other players were instantly dead, leaving him to ransack his hoard - a crappy shotgun from me and 100 mesata but from the others he had a stag and lavis.

He then said "Grretings from the USA" revived us then killed us agaun. I instantly dced as i wasnt sure what else he could do.

Several things spring to mind. If i had a cool wep on me - like my bringers/HP or whatcever I really think I would have retired :) But, and i have already briefly talked to 'cat about this, it really seems Americans have real problems. Honestly, who here has good american friends on pso?? I have a very good canadian friend but that most definitly is not usa =)

I really am in a fix here - I want to play online, but when i go on not many m8s (If any) are about and from this experiance today, it seems no ships/games are safe. So, what to do?

I've been thinking mre about this kind of ppp (Pay per play) on pso v2. Yeh, it sounds bad, but if the cost is low and can be paid monthly (And there are no import troubles!!), i'm sure players like this guy today will not pay it and we may be left with just people who wanna play,work together and enjoy this game.

I guess I want the first few days of pso back - when team work existed and you all had a good laugh - it seems now players got more laughs from door/laser jumping, pking or stealing.

i am not so sure about this "ppp will eliminate muppets" idea, in ultima online u have to pay a monthly subscription fee of $10 a month but u still get muppets going round killing each other and being annoying, although the games are vastly different i still think we are never going to be free from the idiots who get kicks out of ruining it for other players.

I'm inclined to agree with Wildcat. Whereas 'pay as you play' will eliminate most pk'ers there will always be some sad wan.kers determined to mess up the game for the rest of us. Even if they can't actually do it from the inside - remember that recent incident of someone hacking the EU servers and them being down for a weekend.

Some people are just well .... I don't know you got me!!! I can't understand what goes on in their heads. Whatever it is its not right.

I won't pick on the Yanks though, I know a few 'good guys' its just the case that the bad tales are out numbering the good ones. And seeing as the Yanks have the most bad eggs amongst them we're bound to get some over here.

But the behaviour and number of these bad eggs begins to make you wonder doesn't it?

I resent that comment, Germans are cool. I have loads of friends that are German. Ps I got a trick to spot a GS user. It only works if they are wearing God armour, When they log in their health shoots down really low and then it goes to normal. If this happenes Get the **** OUT of the game or you will die. I'm not 100% sure they can kill you on pioneer 2, but if its a spell then they can't. Gs are so unpredictable. Another thing is don't accept "GIFTS" off people like really rare items for "FREE". They are normally hacked and you will losse your stuff. :(

I have been pked many times!!!!! Yes you can even get pked and killed on pioneer 2. It happened to me and then the game crashed and I lost all my items. :(

The US servers are a dangerous place you can be pked, cked, BSODed, FSODed, have your bank raided, have your card list wiped from a single e-mail, and even locked games aren't safe. I've been thinkin about movin, anyone over there got an open guest room? :E

I have loads of American friends on-line. Yes, alot of them use GS but that doesnt instantly make them bad as lot of you guys seem to think.

I admit I haven't ever been pk'ed or given a dodgy weapon or any of that stuff. Is it just luck? I don't know. The most basic thing to do is to never use a good weapon in an open game. Quite simple.
