Pokémon Crystal will not have it's mobile phone capabilites in the US and, presumably, Europe. This is mainly because of the fact that all mobile brands have different ports while in Japan they are standardised.

The question now is: Will You Buy Pokemon Crystal?

I know I will so I can capture Celebi (and, if I have to... Chikorita, but hopefully my friend Natalie has started with it and will trade an egg.) But will you?

I don't have a phone, so it makes no difference to me.

Maybe. It all depends on how much free time and money I have.

I still think this is a shameless cash-in. Either Celebi should be available on GS as well, or not available on any and the only way to get it is via download or GameShark.

I think it's a shame that Nintendo took a good idea, aimed at little kiddies, and then sucked it dry with money-making spin-offs.

Now we have to ask ourselves:Was that bad organisation or what?

I know it's a con the way they only put Celebi in Crystal but... I really wanna complete the Pokédex without cheating.

As you can see, I'm a mug.

Well I was gonna buy it straight away, but I probably won't now.....

I'll probably buy it eventually though, when it's really cheap, just for the collection......

Silver was probably the last Pokemon game I was ever going to get.

No, it was good marketing. Look at how much money it made them, you cant argue with that.

Yes, you can't argue with that, but you can't disagree that it has wrecked pokémon, and it's reputation......

I agree with Articuno, every time I hear someone going on about Pokemon, it's either how it's aimed at kids and too immature for me, or how it's just a marketing scam designed to make Nintendo money.

Yeah I know excactly what you mean Char, because the TV show is kiddy everyone thinks the games are kiddy as well when anyone who has played them knows that the excat opposite is true. To collect them all is a great challenge if you are like me and don't Shark, and the sheer simplicity yet strategy required in battle is a landmine in gaming IMO.

As for the N64 games well I have Snap and Stadium and here's my opinion on them:

Snap - There are probably 4 key areas in which games are judged: Graphics, Audio, Lifespan and most importantly, Gameplay.
Snap reduces the "Challenge" bit of Lifespan to 1 HP and uses the energy to fuel the Gameplay aspect. This takes a day to complete but the sheer fun in the game is a wonderous thing to behold, brilliant G&A enhance the expeirance more. A supereb game that oozes originality. 8/10.

Stadium - Well I suppose I'm not in the position to judge this game, having only won R1 Prime Cup, Gym Leader Castle up to Poké Cup Masterball, but there is a lot of battles to be had. In fact, with the release of G/S I've realized that I at least want to finish Round 1 and have started to build a Poké Cup team. My Transfer Pack is dirty but sticking a Vacuum Cleaner nozzle down it will clean it.
Graphics sadly could be better.
As for the audio, well a lot of people have slagged it off for having jazzed up PKMN game boy voices and not the TV ones, but it shows that this is faithful to the GB games, and not 4Kids spinoff. This also allowed me to complete my Pokédex. 8/10. (Subject To Change.)

Stadium 2 looks great tho. It doesnt get released over here until October but <Sorry, but I have no choice>.

Anyone got a view or wants to add their own reviews, just post :E

Hardrock, I'm sorry but forum guidelines force me to remove that link.

I'll post my opinion of Stadium a little later if I have the time.

Char, Articuno, I agree with you two in your above posts.

Well, I'm not that bothered about it but can I ask a question:

Why?

Hi its me! I'm in Germany at this vary moment, but on the topic of Crystal, yes I am going to buy it just so that I can get Celebi.

Hardrock, having talked to you on IRC, we have now cleared this up, but I shall post the reason why anyway, in case anybody else was wondering.

Gameplay don't allow advertising of other sites that sell games, so I'm forced to delete all links to other gaming sites.
