I wos just trying to play Wasteland but it goes too fast to play ;(

I remember this happening with some other old games too but I also remember there being some program that can trick the games into thinking your PC is slower than it is so they run at normal speed, I cant remember what its called though, does anyone else know where I can get it? ;(

There was a slow-down prog that came with the disk version of Wing Commander 2 if you've got it. I think it was called AT-SLOW, but I haven't been able to find it on the web anywhere.

Ive been wanting to play Ultima7 again, but its waaaay too fast on my current PC, so if you do find it or something like it then please let us know!!

*sigh* remember the time when you had to try and squeeze as much conventional memory as you could out of DOS to play games? I'm sure I've still got my games boot disk around here somewhere :)

Argh! Dos!
Argh! Batch files! ;(

Unfortunately, although I have been using various computer systems from BBC micro through C64, Amiga and Mac (with most games consoles along the way) I only really started using PC's much in 1997 and as it appeared to me at the time that dos was dying I didnt bother to learn much about it ;(

...

I fink I go try and find a program I can work out how to use now, a nice one with buttons that tell it what to do ;(

Wasteland is guuuuude :D
Tha savegame feauture is daaaamn annoying ;(

it autosaves all the time and if you save in a shop then it crashes and you have to load that game the shop will be destroyed forever, also if half yor party are killed in battle then you have to either go back to an old save (made by copying the save files somewhere else) or you will be at aserious disadvantage for the rest of the game ;(

Still, the mission where I climbed onto the roof, knocked out the guards jumped through the skylight, killed the gang leader with my sniper and defused the bombs on the hostages just felt guuuuude, I wish they would make a proper sequel to this game (although I admit Fallout was probably HEAVILY based on this) :E
