Right, got me first character going, disposable probably. I've milled about in the training / newbie area for a bit, got killed once.
Got to level two. Now what?

Not having a manual is really slowing me down I think.

I believe you must reach level 4 before leaving the rookie arena

thats my problem, im up to level 3, not having a clue what to do now. I went out of the rookie area into a huge city. But what do i do there? thought it was about killing things and there is only NPC's. Still good fun though :)

Well, logged off now as there is a new patch coming in the next hour apparently. Getting massive lag, about 30 seconds for commands to take effect!
And their boards are slower than these!

You need to get to level 2 before you can go into the city, and I think you do missions to get stuff and influence the plot etc.

Yeah those American servers lag bad.
Me and my brother play in same Room and we can see exactly how much lag there is .I jump look at his screen and theres a 2-3 second delay.
A Lagometer is greatly needed.
For one thing Id like to know whether its the program hanging or just lag.

Well, this morning when I got the download there wasn't any lag at all. I read on a board somewhere that there is debug code running in the game, which kinda makes sense. A bit annoying that the patch came now. Not going to get back on now tonight. Most likely ...

Yeah, I've read that too. Most of the lag is due to servers being in 'debug' mode. Hopefully, once they finished debugging, the lag will be alot smoother.

Well, guys... I got in last night! But I didn't make a charcter, I thought I'd do some research(hey, it's all part of work! ;) ), then once I get home tonight... I'll be better prepaired then most newbies.
