Pearl Harbour
Action/Romance
3 Hours

WOW...this film was fantastic, god knows what the critics went to see when they wrote their reviews but it wasnt this...Forget what you've read in the papers and seen on tv, this is a -must-see- film, that I guarentee you will like.

You probably know the story but I'll give you a little brief anyway. It's about two men, Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett pilots for the U.S, caught in a love triangle with the gorgeous nurse Kate Beckinsale. This is the side story to the main attraction of the Japanese surprise attack on the U.S Pacific Fleet in 'Pearl Harbour', which brought America into World War 2.

This film takes it to the MAX in terms of action, the scenes are amazing keeping you on the edge of your seat and gasping for breath...The effects surpass films such as 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Titanic'. The camera work is brilliant catching superb shots, showing the shear epic size of this film. It can be seen were all the money for this film was put, as boats, planes and...people...get the **** blown out of them with fantastic realism. The film is 3 hours long, which you would think is a long time; but that isn't the case here with the first hour and a half giving us the character introduction and development alongside alot of humour you can watch comfortably up until the action kicks in. With quick bursts of action and humour, along with real footage of what happened in 1941, you wont get bored. So sit back, enjoy and when the action hits, it hits hard with amazing scenes of huge cruisers getting blown in half. The acting is good and you learn to like the characters. There is a massive aray of stars in this film, each scene shows someone you didn't expect or know about...Affleck and Hartnett are great toghether and Beckinsale is so HOT you wouldn't even know if she was a bad actress, but she isnt :). Oscar winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr only has a small role as in he isnt seen much, but he plays a big part in his own way by leading us through the mayhem in the battle scenes. He plays Doris Miller a real life character from the Pearl Harbour attack, the first black man to receive a medal for bravery. He's someone to keep an eye on during the chaos...

So I say go see this film, it keeps you watching with humour and action, fast 'n' frantic scenes with hardcore effects, but little blood n guts...but enough to satisfiy!! The 3 hours don't drag on, so it's an entertaining film that aimes to please. Powerful, dramatic, epic, Top Film. Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer have done a great job, as you should expect with their other great films such as 'Armageddon', 'The Rock', 'Bad Boys' and others...

"Outstanding Must-See" 4/5 **** for film
5/5 ***** for the action...

actually on popcorn.co.uk the readers give it a good rating...
however, most of the people who liked it mentioned special effects (the blokes) or the women just oggled the leading men for three hours...

ummm, watch me rush out to see it...no really!
:cheese:

further reading on the public reviews give such quotable gems as...
'definitely bring a box of tissues...'
'I cried all the way through'
'and not quite as good as titanic but...'

Peal Harbour is a very enjoyable film and as Ross said you should ignore the critics and go and see it. As im not a film expert I didnt really notice any of the bad things. I did notice the superb action sequences and special effects.

They were so big, lowd and expensive that you feel as if your spending a fortune just watching it (and at my cinema you are) I know that its a film i'll be buying when it comes out on DVD.

Yes and I enjoyed it- it was ONLY the slightly weak plot and 'kiddy' bits that let it down a bit.

FFS why does every thread on this forum turn into a dicussion of whether or not TPM was a good film or not.

ALL STARWARS FILMS RULE- NUFF SAID!!
