no sound in AvP (READ THIS ONE)

I've had this problem 4 some time :bigcry: with the sound in AvP - i don't get any weapon sounds on the marine + predator, only with the alien. can anyone help? please.

Control Panel -> Multimedia -> Playback -> Advanced Properties -> Performance Tab

Move hardware acceleration to 'standard'. i take it you have a soundblaster card? Doesn't like the later versions of direct X for some reason...should sort your problem.

ive experianced the same problem as u, only much more rare for me. i use a Aureal Sonic vortex 2500.
