PSO V2 US release date

Sega France can't very well release it without Sega Europe's command to, so I am desperately hoping that sense has invaded 266 to 270 Gunnersbury Avenue, London and taken a few people hostage :E

oh, one more thing - i have a feeling this had been asked before, but if you buy the US version will you be able to use your old european characters? i'm guessing you can't :(

I think I remember reading on PSO world that you could transfer your character over to play offline, but you wouldn't be able to go online because you would initially connect to US servers that wouldn't recognise your EU serial/access codes. You can't transfer your char back to PSO 1 so you'd never be able to get online!

I hope this isn't true.

If you are worried that you will lose your character, simply make a new one on a separate memory card & test using that character.

What I'm more concerned over is the pay to play scheme that will be incorporated into v.2 in the US. The difficulties in that alone would be the real turnoff for people planning to import.

You can use your old character, but you have to enter new registration code & password like when you do a new char. This is so people with PSOv1 cant just get a pirate PSOv2 & get online with it. PSOv2 comes with codes like PSOv1 did.
