i already had season 1 of buffy on dvd and just recently got season 2
ive seen that season 5 is out on video but dvd seems to be coming out every so often so it will take me a while before i can catch up :)

Yeah Season 1 is good, but Season 2 it really starts to get into its stride. There are a few crummy episodes but most are a "hoot."

Reptile Boy. The moral of the story was made a little too clear and it was a bit of a dull episode... I don't really mean "bad," I just think some seem like filler material and are a bit boring. Sowwee :)

No Buffy season is perfect...all shows written by committee (Friends, ER, but not, notably, The West Wing) suffer from some bad episodes. Focussing on season 2, I think the ones leading up to `Surpise/Innocence` where a little suspect...I mean, `Ted`, `Bad Eggs`? Hardly classics, were they? :)

No, it's not really a criticism of Buffy because like you say, every show has its off days and Buffy's usually very good but when it's really good it's really very good if you, uh, know what I mean?

I thought Ted was OK but yeah Bad Eggs stank a bit. Worth going through them all though (I'm getting my brother hooked now - he's watched the first season of DVDs already :)

Yeh Ive got 1 & 2 on DVD too. But 3 is the best season so far by a long way. I prefer it over the others because the main plot strand is so much better than the others even though the individual episodes are no better. Season 4s army men plot was very weak in comparison but they got back on form with season 5.
