No, I'm not talking about big budget remakes of TV shows.

I'm talking about feature films stealing plot ideas from TV shows...

For instance Star Trek : The Motion Picture steals its main plot idea from an Episode of Space:1999

(:pimp: at this point I'd like to interrupt this broadcast for a message from our sponsor)

My full review on Space:1999 vol 1-3 DVD's is available here

.................................................

So has anyone else spotted a full length feature film stealing a plot from a lowly TV program?

I don't blame them for stealing ideas from TV shows. I mean, do you know how hard it is to think up a new orignal story nowadays?

I know but you'd think they'd try to make the plot look different..

In Space 1999 a voyager probe returns and causes trouble

In Star Trek a Voyager probe returns and causes trouble..

At least change the damned name of it...

Well, if it was exactly like that scence in everyway, then that movie really is a complete rip-off.
Unless it was a spoof.
