I know a number of people have downloaded Beta 4 with a corrupted
data2.cab. Mine was corrupted too, but I figured out how to get around that and am now playing on AO with it. Here's how:

Hopefully you haven't deleted it yet, or else this won't work :Þ
I'm going to assume you're using Winzip 8 like me, and have already
extracted the other files...

1) Extract data2.cab in Classic Mode (not Wizard mode)
2) When it finishes and you get the bad CRC message do NOT click ok.
3) Go to the folder you extracted to, and rename data2.cab temporarily (ex. data2.0cab)
4) Back to Winzip, click OK, and exit Winzip
5) Go back to the folder and rename the file back to its original name (data2.cab)
6) Install Anarchy Online
7) While you're installing you'll get a few messages saying a file is
missing, and asking whether you want to Abort, Retry, or Ignore. Choose to Ignore. If your's is missing an important file there could be a problem, but it should otherwise be fine. Mine was missing 4 .wav files which did install anyway.

8) Finally, play AO!

You never know, it might just work.

Did you use any download manager to dl the file, i.e. DAP, Go!Zilla... etc.. ?

i already tried that method, but the install just died with a bit left to go at the end, and im guessing that it was important stuff :D
ahh well... suppose i can download it again, only a 25 hour download now, servers faster :D
