From what I know, most of the missions are bugged, meaning you can't complete them :(
But, I've been doing the 'Recover Object/Information' ones, these work fine :)
I'm not heavily experianced at doing missions, but here're some tips:
- Try not to do missions at early levels, stay in your starting area and kill the local beasts till your around lv6. You'll level alot faster that way!
(People I usually meet up with left the newbie area at lv6, I stayed there till lv8. Now when I meet them, they're still at the same level and I'm nearing on lv9!)
- When you choose a mission, you'll see a list of 5 icons or so. Choose the icon where you can see a 'blue cube with a red eye above it'. These're the recover info/item missions which work! I hear the assasination missions work too, but I haven't tried!
- Also, when your selecting a mission. You can choose certain 'options', i.e. Good-Bad, Money-Experiance... etc.
If your 'requesting' a mission and you don't get one with the 'cube', adjust the Money-Experiance and request again!
- When you have a 'cube' mission, check to see what reward you get. This for 'me' is the most important object of doing the mission. Frankly, the experiance you get is a rip-off! and the credits are nothing special, so do the mission for the reward. Don't settle for anything useless, keep on requesting missions until you see a good weapon or armour. In two missions, I've got myself a nice pair of boots and a funky 'ufo' style helmet :)
uhm, I've done more then two missions... but the first lot were the bugged ones!
- When you accept a mission, right-click on it and upload it to your map+compass. Now you'll have a green line on your compass directing you! (Beats reading co-ordinates every 10 seconds!)
- Once in a mission, sneak around and don't under-estimate your enemy. Remember, when you target an enemy, you'll see their health as: Light-Green, Green, Dark-Green, Yellow, Orange, Red.
Naturally, that means green ones are easy and they get harder going towards the red! (Grey means these guys are soo lame, you'll only get 1xp for killing them!)
Basically, be prepared before taking on yellow enemies(They can take me for 50% of my health), anything above, try to avoid!
- Sneaking around, do the objective as soon as you find it. If you've been listening, your reward will be a weapon/armour which you'll be given on the spot!
With your newly armed item, you can proceed through the remaining mission area and kill all remaining offenders. Look out for chests too. Usually empty, but sometimes contain usefull items. (I got a 'ring of power', sadly, I don't think it does anything!).
- Finally, once you exit the mission. Find a 'Cell Recording' terminal(or whatever they're called!) and save your charachter. If you die, you lose all your experiance, so I think 'saving' your charachter prevents this(I haven't tried it though!).
I think thats it but as I said, I'm still new to this so I'm only sharing what I know. If you have any tips, please post them :)
