I just quit my Ultima Online account and i'm looking to start a new MMORPG. At first I looked to Asherons Call only to find they'd stopped selling it in the UK. So, what do all you people who've been playing beta/released version think of Anarchy Online?

And anyone know the official UK release date?

Official UK release is sometime in September i think. Not really sure what that means though. Maybe they will bring a euro server online, but who knows.

The game is brilliant, it is the 1st game to grip me the way UO did about 2 years ago. However its far from stable, lots of crashes, lots of zoning problems (not being able to move between areas) and the servers are down now and then. Some things seem to be bugged to, some missions etc. In saying that I am personally prepared to put up with it. If i cant zone i just log in my newbie to the newbie ground and bash some leets. If you are gonna get stressed cos its down when you want to play, wait for a while before you buy it. If you're like me and just enjoy it while its up and do summit else while its not, then get it just now.

Well, well... I was playing the beta up until last week, I knew they couldn't patch the bugs in time for the release!

Personally, having the server flop on me at crucial stages in the game, logging on to find the servers down and worst of all, having bugged missions and lag due to server 'debugging' kinda ruined the game for me.

Don't get me wrong, even with all those annoyances it's still an excellent game, which is saying a lot!
But after a couple of weeks, I gave in and stopped playing the beta.

CC, I'd recomend you hang around a month or so, once most of the bugs have been patched the game will be a whole lot more enjoyable.

Personally, I'm going to wait for the UK release and hopefully play on a 'Euro' server.

yep if it was'nt for the crashing and zoning probs the game would be the best ever...give it a month if you don't want to be crashing. Lag is'nt that bad getting pings of 330
