Is the game going to get a UK release, no information has been given and i fear the worst. Fortunately it seems that they are having problems with AO so perhaps it is best to wait a bit, till they sort things out. The most annoying thing about AO is the £9 a month payment! Can anyone shed any light on these matters, can any beta testers tell me if the games any good? HELP!?! :)
September is the uk release date.
You can buy a key online now and use it with a downloaded version of the client for about £30 but you wont have a manual etc.

You can view an online manual at http://community.anarchy-online.com/manual so its worth downloading and paying the registration fee.
Its definitely not worth waiting 2 months for a UK release, either go for the option from Gameplay (which I would reccomend as it is the same price and the few days you will have to wait wont matter much as the servers are down half the time and quite buggy) or if you REALLY want to play it in its current bug-filled state immediatly then ya could always download it ;)
Plus to order online ya need a credit card, if you dont have one Gameplay is the only option ;(

You'll still need a credit (or debit) card to sign up though. Although you get 1 month free subs, you need to sign up before you play. $12.95 a month if you pay monthly or $9.95 if you pay for 6 months in advance.
You say it isn't worth waiting, but if the game is as buggy as i have heard it is, i might as well wait for the UK launch as i don't really want to waste my free month when the game isn't running smoothly. Does this sound like a good idea? Anyone else from the UK doing this? (I might get bored with waiting and order it anyway but ill try waiting, i really want to know what other people from the UK are doing!) :P
they haven't started the free month timer yet and they say they wont until they're convinced that everyone can actually play the game... :/

It's playable.... frequent crashes make it painful though.
All depends on how tolerant you are m8, but it's currently nowhere near as bad as it was...

Well, I for one am very glad that I bought the game from Gameplay now and didn't wait.
Yeah, sure, the crashes and drop-out is a pain, but the game is most certainly playable. But if ya can't get back in the game, then I just go on something else for a while.
But it is certainly very good. And by the time the UK version is released, and (hopefully) everything is running smoothly then you will know how to play the game upon its release.
Plus you have the added extra of being in a brand new world... :)

This game is buggy and crashes. It is also one of the best games to come out in the last couple of years. Totally addictive...
Get out of the starting areas and the game becomes MUCH more stable, and ppl have been seeing lvl 25 chars already. Do yourself a favour, buy this game.

Got to reiterate what the above have said, its a great game although unstable now and then. What FBM said very important, depends who tolerant you are.

Nah, no chance of meh getting to borrow a credit card to pay fer it, I meant to not be spending mah moneh on games even though I havent bought any in months ;(

but I'm, saving up fer tons of stuff :)
I currently have about £30 and am earning about £75 a week, I need tons of new clothes (not got any fer about a year) lots of parts to build a PC for my Mum and various other random things, want a 3D card too :E
I've decided thta as much as I'd like to, judjing from the amount of time I spent playing the beta getting this game would be a bad idea as (while the servers are up) it would take all my remaining free time ;(

Well, you should be able to get a debit card that you can use :) (Visa Delta from Barclays works nicely)
Thats if you decide to play.

I didn't read all the replies coz i can't be bothere ;) so don't be mad if u find that it's already been said but is it released in the USA? If so is it released in every state?

Yes, it is available in the US of A, not that i live there. I don't know if you can get it in every state, but it is out in the shops. Why are you posting this on gameplay, a UK shop? Just wondering. ;)

Izz, where are you working mate, cause frankly thats slave labour! I realise under 18's get paid less but at that age I was 'temping' and earning around £300 odd a week.
The work wasn't nice, 12 hour shifts, heavy lifting...etc... but the cash was good, plus the option of weekend overtime at £16/h!
Whatever your doing find another job as these guys are takin the pis!
Back to the Topic: I'd say wait till there's a UK/Euro server and the games more stable.
I spent alot of time on this as a beta-tester and although hooked at first, having the game crash every two hours or so...etc made it unplayable.
The worst part is when your doing a mission, your connection drops and when you login again, you have to do the mission all over again! It's really annoying. Lag in missions is VERY bad too.
I finally gave up. But once the games smoother I'll definately consider it... providing the beta test for Star Wars:Galaxies hasn't started!
SWG is probably the game I'll go for... with limited time, there're only so many games you can play.
Actually its more like £130 a week for about 25 hours work, £5 an hour aint too bad :)
Its more work than I thought so I'm getting paid more and its pretty easy, I'm putting together mixers for a bunch of recording sutdios ;)

I could afford to get the game and 6 months gametime right now its just that afterwards I would end up not having enough time to earn any more money due to gamage... ;(
