Hi all,
last friday during a game of TFC ;) my computer crashed. When I tried to reboot the computer started but the monitor stayed in standby mode as if there was power getting to it but no signal from the graphics card. My card at that tume was a Voodoo 3 3000 pci so thinking it was a fault with the card I took it back to the shop and got a refund. Since then I bought a Else gladiac GeForce2 mx PCI and having installed it this morning the same problem occurs. The monitor wont wake up :(. I then switched to the onboard graphics and it still wouldnt boot wake up until I removed the geforce. Does anyone know what the problem is? Is the power supply too weak (145Watt :()?
Thanks in advance.

Could be one of a few things. Could be Motherboard, CPU, or memory, and is very hard to tell which unless you have some spare parts lying around.

Is there a bleeping noise when you turn it on? Does the machine boot up (Hard disk light flashing)? Also check the inside of your PC as some Motherboards have little lights to tell whats wrong, usually 4 LED's, and then you can find out by checking it with the motherboard manual.

have you correctly disabled the on board GFX card?
PCI instead of AGP is the most likely option.
have you tried different drivers? and are the monitor drivers correct???
