I've waited patiently for the next installment.........come on cookie, when's the much anticipated follow up????
I demand to read a reveiw of a cool car soon!!!

don't mean to be cheeky, but when your 3000 miles from home, and the closest you come to a decent car is a saggy handling V8, you really appreciate reading cool reveiws of smart handling lotus's.

Even the Scoobys and Evo's over here have modified suspension for US roads, and choked engines to deal with the emmision laws (and this is from a country which refuses to ratify the Kyoto accord!!!!, now you can see why George W's middle name is only one letter away from ******).

let me know, GlenSpen

p.s. I work with a load of Brazilians, and we often chat about F1...the first thing they say about Nigel Mansell is "Crazy *******".

by the way, I did write Wan*er....but the anti-swearing software on the forum changed it to his real middle name..Walker.....that about says it all.

Hi m8!!!

Well things have been VERY busy here just lately and the next road test might still be a couple of weeks away ;(

However my local friendly Honda garage have a S2000 in stock so I may have to give that a blast if I get the chance! (You may know it as the Accura S2000?)

I dunno what happened but my Elise Road test seems to of got corrupted :(

I can't view it anymore which really pisses me off considering it took me about an hour to write

Watch this space :)

cool, look forward to it.

I read the Elise road test...great review...an hour well spent...I respect the reveiw more from someone who has owned an Elise before, so knows what they are talking about. I can't stand hearing about cars from people who's experience is limited to family cars and general everyday runabouts.....they have no perspective.

it really made me laugh when somebody commented that the Elise looked like the batmobile, and you would be better off buying a BMW!!!!!! an hour long drive around some good high-speed twistys would soon show them the error of their ways :-)

look forward to the Honda test.....I've only been over here 6 months, so I know what car your talking about..and your right, anything with a Honda badge that is anyway luxury or sporty gets called an Acura....very strange.

Look forward to your S2000 review cookie. Will we have to wait four months like before :E ?

You will enjoy it. I was a passenger in one on thursday and all i can say is the engine is stunning ! When that third big fat cam pushes the valves down further the exhaust note becomes even more fantastic ! Didnt get a chance to drive it though, and i wasnt in it long .

Glenspen i know you have not been there long but is it true that in some parts of the US ALL cars are limited to 112mph ? Or iam i thinking of somewhere else ?

You may not know but i just thought i would ask ! :)

I'm not sure if they are restricted to 112mph or not, cos the speed limit is only 55!!!! when you break the law speeding over here, there isn't a fixed penalty, you get a basic fine, plus an extra 10-15 dollars (depending on the state) for every mile an hour over the limit you were doing.

If I was caught doing 112mph, I would be banned from driving automatically and fined well in excess of $800, as well as a mandatory 5-45 days in prison if it was my third offence. Come to think of it, thats probably why they design the cars over here to feel unsafe at anything over 100.

If I knew how to post Jpegs on the forum, I'd send in a good photo of me sat on the bonnet of my car....'a la cookie' (only I don't want anybody altering the image in photoshop and sticking Jeremy Beadles head on my body!)
