Is it just me, or as games move into the next generation, is the number of whingers who haven't even bought or played the game they're bitching about multiplying by a ridiculous factor?

Would you forever <add your favourite expletive here> OFF?!

Fair enough, if you've shelled out more money than you can afford from a shop that has a "if you've bought it, kiss my ass you're not bringing it back" policy, and you're narked at a game, then by all means go for your life.
If however you're twisting your knickers about a game that hasn't even been released, then questions have to be asked.

I blame it on the fact that they're all teenagers and that's what teenagers do all day:

Totally agree, I picked up a game called Rune a few weeks ago. Tried multiplayer out and you as well as the usual hacknslash carnage you also get magic called runes that amplify yer weapons (like q3 powerups or UT mutators).

As soon as I start using them players start go "RUne lamer!!" "Saddo!!" "im not playing on a lame runer server!" Now isnt the game called Rune arent they lying around to get picked up and used.

All this preciousness about the correct way to play games. No bfgs in q3,no rockets in SOF,no runes in Rune ffs. And we have hear we dont want zombies/mutants in Castle Wolfy.

Its all very sad,why cant players just play the way the game is,and if the dont like a setup/game they leave not winge at the players who are enjoying playing in a certain way.

BTW The BFG is lame :P

Tricky conversation this, as I loved Rune when it first came out and ended up as a Rune admin on er... a different GSP :emb:

Oy! quit throwing the rotten vegetables, I was gagging to play the game multiplayer so I jumped at the position when it was offered, gimme a break!
(but for the record - ignore the "Rune-whore" shouts, a well struck hammer can smite the best of them :devil: )

Back to the plot. It's all internet Yin and Yang.

For every share of freedom of speech the internet brings, you get an equal share of people anonymously standing on a soapbox, riding their high horse, whilst having their head firmly inserted into their own arse, screaming blue murder about stuff they can make a choice about and which doesn't ultimately (despite what they claim) make the slightest difference to how the world swings.

I'm just glad it's not me who sees this :) was getting worried thinking I'm growing old before my time.

Im just think that they are possibly arsing up a well good game by adding zombie's and sh*t. i know i dont like fighting zombies so what is there to make me feel any different about this game?

having said that, i recently played a demo of serious sam and that aint got humans in and i thought it was a great fun. so we'll see
