Quake

Right, simple question, I run a slow machine with poor resolution (Windows sez I can't handle 256 colours when it clearly does in DOS mode :\)
Anyway, I can run all the software (Quakeworld etc.), I'm just looking for a few decent quake servers ASIDE of Gamespy, cos it needs 256 colours.
Can anyone help?

I'm sure every machine still on the go can handle 256 colours, can't they?
