Good old JV, on the podium again!!!!! all it took this time was a dozen retirements...sheer class.
Looks like we have a german champion again.

Driver-bashing eh ?
Erm cant think of much to say JV and Button scored points at the weekend :E
Oh no wait Button may lose his drive :E  Button
WTF happened at the weekend ? When folk came out the pits they lasted less than 2 laps . And what does Montoya have to do for some luck ?
Oh and LMAO @ DC "I can still win the championship"
It has been a bit quiet around here.
Cookie the BMW 1.9 Z3 is better than an Elise :E Oh and kingpin is crap :P

Montoya is a n[/b]ob, telling JV he should shut up because he had already killed someone this year, so I feel he doesn't deserve a win, this year at least.
Ralf - good race all round, deserved the win. Barrichello did well on a 2 stopper and Button got some points.
Good interesting race, liked :)

Blaming JV for the marshals death was not the nicest thing to do, but would you not be a bit pissed if some ass crashed into the back of you and blamed you for it?
In your opinion he doesn’t deserve a win for that but come on, his driving when his Williams is working deserves one!
Montoya is the new Johnny Herbert :D
Yeah, but Johnny wasn't a nob. :P

Ok if it's driver bashing you want, then here goes........
When will DC ever learn that he will never, ever be World Champion? He may give the odd "inspired" drive, but for a man who's only one 12(ish) GPs in a career where he's had the best car every season except one, he's just not consistent enough to win a title.
Also time for a bash at Schumacher and the FerrarIA. That race should never have been stopped (they'd already been through the debrs once so stopping the race, only to restart it without allowing the changing of tyres is ridiculous), and Schumacher did his level best to block the track by sticking his tricycle Ferrari in the middle of turn one, a la A-1 ring lat year. When will the FIA tell him to wise up? At least his car packed up, meaning that justice was done.
Anyone see that interview with Barrichello on ITV before the race? There he was, insisting that he wasn't number two to Schumacher, and what was on his cap? A huge number 2!
Also a bash at Ralfie. Last year, he was made to look a mug by Jenson Button, and now he thinks he's God's gift, even though Montoya whipped his ass for 2/3s of the race. Just wait till JPM wins one, then we'll see who's the better driver. Anyone see a Prost/Senna esque battle next year if Williams is the class of the field?
Oh, and nice one JV on getting a podium for the second time this year. It may have taken a dozen retirements (well 7 if you count his grid slot) but at least both BARs made it, unlike Ferrari, McLaren, Williams....................... etc.
F1 drivers? Don't talk to me about F1 drivers.......
Piggeh...

That race definetly needed to be stopped - there was litterly tons of debris scattered accross the track. I was as dismayed as you (Andrewmcm) when it allowed Schumacher back into the race, but it was the right descision to make. You say the cars managed to drive over it okay, but that was at slow speeds - at race speed the tyres would have been ripped apart!
Gotta agree about DC, though - he's good, but not championship material. It's a shame the car let him down too much this year and that Ron Denis just will not back the man when he needs it, but Coulthard just does not set the racing world alight.
As for Ralf, I was starting to like him and then he goes all Michael on us! He's not sharing any of his data with Montoya anymore and that comment he made about nursing his car to get it through the race! Bah! He was simply slower and no doubt will be from now on. Montoya has finally gotton to grips with F1 (it took Villenueve just as long) and has now got the edge over Ralf. Button had that edge as soon as he stepped into the Williams - imagine where he's be in the championship standings today if he was still in the car - way above Ralf and probably above DC by now.
Go on, take the piss, but Button is a true racing talent and a future F1 champion. Just needs to get out of Benneton!

Hmm, I'm sure they weren't allowed to change tyres once the race was stopped, but I', sure given 4 or 5 laps under SC conditions the track wouldn've been cleared. Mind you, we coudl have had a Senna type incident where debris could be blamed for killing someon (even though that wasn't the case with Senna), but I digress.
Button was the business. He should've gone to ChampCars like Montoya did, then he would've showed them all. Coincidentally, does anyone watch IRL/ChampCar? It's brilliant, much more exciting than F1........ especially the Michigan 500 - fantastic racing.

agreed about DC, he's never been any good and he needs to realise he never will be.
Schumacher is the greatest driver of his generation by a long way - better than Senna. The race should have been restarted as the debris on the track was too dangerous. they did drive through once but that was probably the (direct or indirect) cause of many of the retirements and the powers that be would have been irresponsible to let the drivers go through all that dangerous spiky Carbon Fibre again, it was bad enough they let them through once.
If by 'block the track' you mean stopped dead and couldn't do anything about it I think you should choose your words again.
Barrichello - Everyones number 2 to someone.
Ralf Schumacher is a class driver too, worryingly looking more and more like his brother every day. Jensen Button couldn't make a mug look like a mug and when someone is better this year than he was last year it's called 'improving'. What button is doing is 'getting crap'.
JV is having a good year isn't he, a podium finish purely because everyone in a fast car retired through no faults of their own most of them - (exception Ralf Scumacher).

A bit harsh there ! Hes a great driver he just aint great enough. I knew he would crumble :E

Hmmm i cant remember it well but he is prone to try and block the track at the start of a race if he has crashed to get it stopped. I would do the same :E

And yet you say the Ralf, the man who Button repeatedly out classed in the Williams, is a "class driver". While it is true, Ralf has proved himself to be very competent this year, Montoya is now beggining to show him the way. Montoya, a champ car winner and an experienced high speed racer, has taken half a season to get to grips with F1 and no one bats an eyelid. Jensen, on the other hand, came into F1 with no where near as much experience, was fast straight out of the box and was better than Ralf. Why on Earth would Williams have a retainer on him if he was no good?
As soon as he steps back into a decent car, he'll be back to the front of the grid again. The Benneton he is driving right now is setup for Fishicella, not Jensen. That coupled with the fact that it has pathetic aerodynamics and an underpowered engine, how could anyone possibly expect him to be winning any races? And now you say he's rubbish? Try listening to people who have a better understanding of what makes a good F1 driver and car, for instance Martin Brundle - he is always singing Button's praises because he knows that Jensen is a true racing talent in a crap car. That's why Murray keeps telling him not to get too depressed by his performance this year and simply use it as a learning experience.
Wake up.
I suppose you'll be saying Raikkonen (sp?) doesn't stand a chance in F1.

Oh no, don't get me started on why M Shcumacher is not even anywhere near as good as Senna, I'll just take up far too much bandwidth on this server. Put it this way, they best drivers can always show their skill over 1 lap in qualifying, when every ounce of skill is put into one small package. Senna has 65 poles, Schumacher has 30 odd. Also, look at 94 before Senna got killed. Up till then, Senna had 3 poles in an inferior car to Schumy, who had none. 'Nuff said.
And Schumacher did try to block the track, replays confirm this, just as he did at A-1 llast year.
You know, the amount of a**e kissing that goes on about God Himself really does get on my t*ts sometimes..........
There is a thread about F1 Drivers on the community forums now. So you can still bash them while WP is down. Go to http://www.hoot.org.uk and follow the link.

I concede I may have been a bit harsh about Button, the Benetton is turd. But you've got to realise Brundle only goes on about him because he's English. If Button was French he wouldn't have had a 'difficult race where he got a bit unlucky' he would have been 'beaten by better drivers' or more likely not even got a mention beyond 'brought up the back of the pack'.
PS whats Raikkonen got to do with the price of chocolate buttons?

Got to agree with Glenspen, Villeneuve showed promise early on but to be fair to him he's hardly driven inspiringly over the last few years has he? Too inconsistent, to egotistical and not good enough.
You may argue that Schumey has a head the size of the Nurmbergring but he's the best in the world (and one of the best of all time) so he's allowed to have a big head.
