WP browser thingy?

Yes, a new Wireplay Browser will be launched, firstly in Beta then full versions. No date yet. Thats all i know :)

I modified the config thing on wireview so it displayed all servers, such as bw, jolt etc.
Was much better than gamespy until i discovered the all seeing eye :)

I like the wp3 software as well, it was simple quick and did what it said on the tin. I am using the all seeing eye now which is good, I could be tempted back to the wp3 software if it allows none wp3 servers to be included....

I loved the WP3 software too (when it worked!) but don't forget that it did have problems occasionally, and we'd all have to go back to using WireView Local (or the version 2 of the software as it was) from time to time...

What with excellent programmes such as The All Seeing Eye around, perhaps WP3's main use would be more of a brand promotion device, to be shipped with cover CD's on PC magasines etc...remains to be seen really.

I think I'd only start using any such software if it did something that The All Seeing Eye did not do, but from a marketing perspective, it would be a great thing for WP to do...

I often wondered why wireplay didn't go into league with gamespy/ a simular provider to provide a 'lite' version of their software for use with wp (and perhaps other servers) save a lot of development costs/headaches. It would be great if they could do an all seeing eye alternative to wp3 which has badged up wp but had some of ase's features, and an 'cheaper' upgrade path.

WP3 was ok. But it really ****ed my graphics up, sometimes when I entered the server via WP3 it would make my graphics 'flicker', the textures that disappear when you lag out (such as doors, vents etc) I could see through completely when they flickered. Although it didn't suit as a WH as the models disappeared too and my ping went up 10 fold.

Gamespy = bad

HLIT = best IRC/CS tool available. Even allows external rcon control.

Hmm, as I remember it, everyone used to complain about the WP3 software. I used to use Gamespy instead, but now I use All Seeing Eye, coz it's the best one I've tried. What's this HLIT thingy then?

Also useful to those that moan about the admin reserved slots, as it doesnt auto-enter you when you hammer the server if the only slots free are reserved slots. That's what I heard anyway, I use a much older feature without that feature.
