View Full Version : "Use of HLH Cheat detected on [Ec]Tiger" :/

Ok, this gave me a fright at first, until the purple writing saying "Bringing back cs to the players, one ban at a time" came up and i remeined. Obviously i don't cheat, but it was like the server was trying to ban me. It kept executing my Say commany and typing a load of letter and digits when i didn't do anything.

I'm really confused, but i didn't get banned so use this as a feedback :)

From what I can read in the console it appears it's tried to execute command say, and Jedinocheat has detected an error return on it that it thinks in HLH.....

Pure bull**** tbh :/

no that is the last command it issued that failed before detecting cheat. HLH is detected almost 100% detected correctly so all i can say is:

Sorry, server 4's using a combination of Jedinocheat and CSGuard and Jedinocheat appears to of become corrupted but i'm fixing it now :)

The first few were funny, but actually thinking it is stupid :{

All the players who were playing sauid it had happened t them, and ffs, i don't cheat - had to be the server. And i don't use Jedinocheat :/

Thanks Razz, knew i could depend on you..

P.s. i hadn't tried to execute anything, the second i entered the server it kept making me say those figures - i r no cheat :D

Jedinocheat is an adminmod anti-cheat plugin lol :D

this has happened before, on by. nick-fury got caught (for the second time :( ) and no one but i stood up for him, but was i right? YES I WAS SO NER!

anyway, csguard is trying to execute those commands, which are seriously easy to get around i might add (woo even i can rename a config!!) but thre jedi no cheat has a fault and catches 2-10% of people who dont actually cheat!

Nah, it's OK :)

Had a few days to cool down, but i did know that Jedinocheat was anti-cheat ;)

Good to see we all have friends online (all mine were in Rumble and TFC :D)

yer jedi is a nifty program that basicly uses your hl client ( so will get through a firewall ) to search your computer for cheat files in use or not.

why should I apologise, the FFS ADMONG e.t.c was only a joke, and that software is almost 100% acurate (like 99.9%) however if you run jedi no cheat and csguard and if jedi if f00ked then as it trys to activate the command the other plugin picks up the jedi plugin as a cheat running on your PC, thats why you shouldn't run jedi and csguard together. I didn't know they had jedi on aswell.

It's OK Ned, we all know that it was a misunderstanding - The server had a corrupt cheat protection on it. You post looked awefully accusive though.. If you add a smilie at the bottom to show your meanings avove, like the other two did, i.e. :D, then we know your joking - didn't appear so there.

It's finished now, just be careful what you type ;)

So does that mean the jedi program could be adapted to bypass the firewalls and then search for passwords or places to put a virus?

Using admin mod it's possible to execute commands on your pc. That's how most 'scanners' work afaik. They try and run specific files and if that file isn't there you don't have it :}

i.e. it tries to run /../ogcinstall.exe and if it find it you probably have cheats on your pc. If it doesn't find it then you don't.. sort of thing :)

afaik, it's not possible to actually send files or search for passwords or anything like that.

Yeh, i had a run-down about them, and the scanner one WP had in place with the message explaing that it was going to search your PC (don't know which anti-cheat that was) does look for all the names the cheats may be, thats why sometimes if you open your console whe n you connect you see it looking for files you "don't" have :wink:

Jolt use the same, i think that scanner one is excellant, always catches people and very rarely are they suspect.
