ok i think ive fixed it.
apparently this is a problem with voodoo cards, ive got a v3.
on the dodmod forums there are a few things to try
first you can try adding a command line to your dod shortcut.
Right click your DOD shortcut. Select properties.
Add -heapsize 64000 to the end of your "Target" string- the one with hl.exe -game dod etc. in it.
Now start DoD from this shortcut.
someone else suggested setting the value (i.e 64000) to xxx000, with xxx being around 2/3's of your system ram.
i.e. i have 192mb of ram so i would have -heapsize128000
however this didnt work for me.
the next thing i tried was to install the "HL ATI overflow patch"
from here http://bunkers.dayofdefeatmod.com/spawn/ati_fix_hl.exe
and lo and behold this i think has done the trick.
hope this helps someone.
p.s. checkout the dodmod forums for any other ideas
I'm using a voodoo 3 and I'd had no problems as of yet.
I can't play CM now cos of it though :{
Gah!
