View Full Version : Wireplay DoD Community Website?

Anyone interested in helping to do a WPDoD community site (much like TFC-Central, FLF Central etc)

Jolt has one already but a Wireplay one might also be useful in boosting the community and getting more people on here.
I'd be happy to run it if I could get some others to help staff it (updating news regularely, writing the odd column etc), and a decent webdesign as I am useless at that sort of thing.

The DoD Central name is already taken by the Jolt site so has anyone else got any idea for a name / offers to give me a hand?

i can write you a decent site in PHP that you can maintain through the web, if provided with space / money :)

Easileigh, if I can get a design sorted out then could you code it?

Getting hosting with PHP support will be no trouble for me whatsoever
Ability to post news / update stuff etc on the web would be great if that's possible

Someone slap me if I'm wrong ... (form an orderly queue guys, no pushing Kiwi) ... but I do believe a WP DoD community website is already under construction ... by me (and a squad of other monkeys with PC's)

I've been chasing Razz for dod.wireplay.co.uk and server access ... but my legs are getting tired :{

Of course articles, ideas etc. are always welcome ... the site should be up within a day or two of getting server details.

Once the site is up the league can start to shake the dust from its bones and get active. So far we are looking at a traditional league competition and also a ladder to keep you trigger happy lot busy :boom:

Any suggestions of what additional content you'd like to see on the website jot it down here. We've alreday got the usual: kit overviews, map overviews, links etc. incorporated.

No pressure Razz :noo:

correct me if im wrong but when did you ever write any of your own stuff ? and it wasnt that i couldn't finish it, i just left my hosts as they were crap and wouldn't move the domain, never responded to my emails so it got left. then i left the clan.

I think some of content should contain:

DoD Skins, DoD sprites entities and custom crosshairs.

Obviously news etc and having each of the maps released with the mod lidted in detail about where objectives are and different routes. Stuff that would really help someone new to a game.

I dont really have time to help out (soz) . But if ur wanting stuff for newbies i wrote an articel on how to make simple scrips . If you want to ues then just mail me :)
