I think they would win at the moment since there is only about 10 avp ppl here and around 80 at any one time on GSA.
The fact the yanks are either sh;t or cheaters might swing it in our favour somewhat.
Does it matter if there are more of them?

AvP2 is alright (in response to the earlier post), if they could just listen to their players and fix the bloody netcode, and add more admin stuffs for potential leagues etc, it could be great.

I just had a game on GSA with Waynekerr, Baz and a handful of 'alien' wannabees.....

By the way there is a Soldier of Fortune 2 multiplayer demo available for anyone who is interested.
Its 51 megs so depending on connection migth take a while but it is well worth it.
The M4 Carbine is just bootiful and shooting like crazy with the M60 truly makes u feel like Animal Mother from Full Metal Jacket.

What a lamer, cant use anything but disc. and is useless in multispecies games.

Well he had game room title as "[XP] Try-outs....come in if you dare"
So having read something on here about Trig starting a new clan, I just mosied on over to have a look. And game starter was Lt Gen Foresaken (or summat like that) and his in game name was Forsaken (with the pred emblems either side of name).
And all the death shows were ... xxxxxxx has been killed by Forsaken (using disc)
When asked who leader of XP was he replied he was.
And when asked to stop using Disc by ALL players he replied
"WHY? This is the best weapon to use and if you cant dodge it, it's your problem"
Needless to say within 2 minutes of saying that, he was all alone in his little world.

It used to be like avpnews.com with news pages, clan listings, mod pages. But I think avpnews got the better hand when it was the first to get hold of AvP2 release material.
Looks like they just stuck to the forum side then.

ok I have managed to install "ORIGINAL" AvP on my second pute. I have ALL my putes networked and accessible from ONE station through a splitter box. I have just tried to play a game on GSA and all my weapons fire has smoke trails on 'em and pred cloak makes viewing impossible as does the night vision and nav mode, and text is only just readable.
As far as I know, I have put all required stuff onto AvP and updated all my drivers for that pute.
It is the same pute I had last time I played AvP Original so nothing has changed except OS. And I have ALL the appropriate avp material needed.
I remember having this problem when I first played and I'm blowed if I can remember what I did to correct it.
sounds like you got a nasty problem there.
Im using GOLD on Win2000, I also had AVP2 on Win2000 - no problems.
however when I also added original, eveything all went Tango-Uniform!!!!

No the problem isnt having the games on same system. They are on 2 different putes.
When I first started playing AvP I had a P2 450mhz system, over time I upgraded the entire system to a P3 1ghz, basically leaving me with a complete spare pute sat around doing nowt. EVERYTHING in the spare pute, with the excerption of the OS is from my original P2 so AvP should work
Below are the files I have for AvP Original
Full AvP install
Build98 patch
mpavp (for GSA)
My OS's are:
Main pute = Win XP Pro
Secondary = Win XP Home
Back-up = Dos 6.2 / Win 3.1 (Diagnostic pute only)
I have a 4th pute but that still in rebuild stages at moment

OKay Daskii, wireplay is still in Beta, but i can promise you the software is fantastico, i have been trying out for the last week.
Secondly no one will answer my q on gold or orig. So i am nagging and nagging and nagging.......
However if you can install them both it should not be a problem, as i have both. It seems that people are having issues with haveing both installed tho, so try it out.

The only [XP] clan I have seen on GSA are cheating, whinging US mommy's boys and when you find one that dont cheat he cries home when he gets shot ONCE
Cheaters dont last 2mins in any of my games, and they are dead easy to find
