Having spent a long time coding scripts related to half-life, i'm going to start writing a LONG tutorial involving and explaining the half-life server protocol, how to query half-life servers using mIRC sockets and parse the information they send back. I'll do this first by quoting the protocol document and then by integrating it into a practical script - a game server utility for mIRC, that will include double clicking on url producing text based output in the window such as this:
