I just bought it last week and have compleated the Single Player in easy mode.. I'm ready to take on anything anyopne can throw at me now :D

The patch you have to download is all thats slowing me down ;(

Bought RTCW out of nostalgia for the original (just like Ill buy the mext installement of the DOOM series) and I didnt think the single player was that bad.... in fact i thought it was very good.

Shortly after buying RTCW though i got SOF2 and found that to have a far superior sp game. However, Sof2 isnt half as good online as wolf because games with up to 8 players on sof2 are great but rtcw can support many more than that and still provide an enjoyable game :D

I never thought of posting here, coz i was too loyal to AVP.

But secretly i am a player in a top clan. We play on blueyonder and barrysworld leagues.

I love this game, multiplayer is absalutely fantastic, superduper and ace.

SIngle player was brilliant too, althought the boss at the end wasn't that hard. It was kinda fun trying to make that crane thing drop on him without dying, coz he dont wanna follow you underthere.

The new expansion pack, which is now going to be a standalone game could be called as a sequel.

But after the success of this they have to. I mean who cant have fun killing nazi's all day?

Just make the single player game more objective based. I am yet to play a fps which gave me as much pleasure as DEUS EX, truly the best fps game ever.

Call me shallow but there is no fps shooter better than avpGE, which has DOOM 1 + 2 and Soldier of Fortune 2 as close ruinners up. for me... sof2 is near perfect fps

Really? I mean at the times yes i loved those games. But Deus Ex was sooooooooooooooooooooo huge it just blew me away!

However on multiplayer nothing can touch the enjoyment that AVPGE brings. Nothing at all.

You wont regret it.

Upgrading my machine to a monster helped too. Running the game at 1024x768 really helps things with a full frame rate. Its a gorgeous game. I might have to play it again.....
