The ea boards seem to be full with complaints about the full version of BF1942.
The complaints seem to range from poor frame rates/choppy play, lag problems and very poor AI of bots.
Could this be ea snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is it just a storm in a tea cup?
comments anyone?
oh and this post here (http://boards.ea.com/messages?14@153.m4EtapkHqdC.0@.ef81d7b!view=1&start=1&skip=0) makes amusing reading in a sort of car crash I shouldn't be looking but I am way....

I love it when Americans are able to make a reference as to how "great" America is in everything they say..
Edit: LMFAO@the "cyber stalker" bit
LOL that is funny :)
I wouldn't worry too much about the EA board though - I've been keeping a sorrowful eye on the posts since it went up. The sad fact is, those who are enjoying the game are doing just that. Those who are pissed off will obviously post on the forums in an attempt to make themselves feel slightly better.
It's become a sad reality (no reference to the person 'Reality' intended :E ) that official forums are always a nightmare to read when a game is about to come out.
Dunno whether anyone realises it, but it all boils down to people wanting to be popular, and if that fails wanting to atleast be seen by as many people as possible. Hence what is usually a bit of a gripe will quickly turn into a life or death situation.
/me looks at the Wireplay forum as an example :E

I thought that might be the case Slam. In fact as an example of the least friendly boards I have seen they win by a mile, you would get a warmer welcome if you posted about how great windows XP was on a linux forum :)
There is hardly a topic that hasn't developed into a flame war by the third post, frequently a question gets an imediate flame....
It's nice to be able to retreat to the wp boards :)

if the demo is anything to go by(and i cant believe theyve sorted all the problems in such a short space of time) then tbh i dont blame them for moaning.
i wont be buying this game until ive heard on these forums and others(BY etc) that people like are having no problems.
atm i cant play for more than 10mins before i start lagging.
and when i do buy ill most likely buy from eb/game so i can take it back if it lags like a fooker.
I dunno why some are getting lag problems and others not.
Maybe I just got the lucky download of the demo or something cos my pings have been fairly constant when I play
I'm normally ok - though its not as smooth as i'd like when its more than about 8v8. Had some issues yesterday but found out that my firewall and viruschecker had fallen out. Sorted that now and its ok.
Just one of thoe games where everything needs to be working perfectly (including the server) or all it falls down...
Maybe it's more noticeable with a decent connection.
I'm on 56k so everything looks the same to me :D
