well ive just finished reading lord of the rings again, and i thought it might be fun to create a charector based on one from the book.

However this does not mean im going to create a "legolas" or "aragorn".

When i started to read up on ultima online and discovered you could tame animals the thought occured to me that i might be able to create a charector based on radagast The Brown.

For those non lord of the rings fans out there radagast is a wizard of the same order as gandalf, however he has a closer afinity with animals i suppose an accurate description would be hes is basicaly a druid.

heres an sentence from fellowship of the ring regarding the charecter

"Radagast is, of course, a worthy wizard, a master of shapes and changes of hue;and he has much lore of herbs and beasts, and birds are especially his friends."

If any of you could advise me on some basic templates or skill setups for creating this charector id be most grateful. even just what skills to start off with would be a help, and when the game actually comes friday i can get down to some roleplaying :)

thnx in advance anyone who contributes

leather armor, brown cloak, bow
use taming to fight monsters (ie have a hoard of bears following u)
macing so u can use gnarled staff
skills= taming magery macing archery healing (when u start u choose 2 at 50, and then when u enter the game u choose another also at 50. i'd get taming, archery, magery)

You do not need animal lore for taming because it does not work on Sphere. Just like anatomy for combat damage and evaluating intel for magery. These things only work on POL and RunUO emulators.

I think Eval Int etc can be scripted to help. It just a case of getting it scripted.
Clown, what kind of game is uo? Oh yes, its a MMORPG

Both evalutaing Inteligence and Animal Lore are active.

If you do not have animal lore and command a highpowered animal to do something sucha s kill, guard, stay it has a % chance of going mad, deserting you then attacking you. I have had my zostrich try to kill me when I had 0% animal lore.

Evalutaing Inteligence increases the duration of spells such as field and summon spells.
