Watching them. Watching us. Watching you.
I don't know about anyone else but I've always thought the guy was a bit of a creepy f**ker. (Is he? Isn't he? etc.)
It's not a good time to be a celeb.
yeah i agree , always thought there was something not right about him

Dodgy is the only word I can describe it as.

He always looks too tall. And too stiff, like a large wooden plank.
It's probably a good time to get those sexual-abuse-whilst-you-were-kids claims in because the media's all over these cases recently. It's fashionable to have been bent over and sodomised as a child!
Can't be arsed digging the thread up, but he was my first choice for the one who raped ulrika. Always thought there was something sinister about the way he grinned at the screen! Perhaps she was too old for him though.
Aye. It's a good time to stitch up any celebrities you don't like. So long as you do the math first.
Theres probably a series in there somewhere. Victims coming forward to reveal tales of childhood bummings at the hands of C-list celebs, in the hope of winning a caravan.
I reckon "Stars In Their Brown Eyes" could well be peak time Saturday night viewing.
Arrested at a pantomime
Imagine the crowd shouting 'He's behind you!' :P
Joanna Lumley touched my pee-pee when I was at her son's 7th birthday party.
Really? Did she reveal her legendary plastic anus though?
I'm afraid I can't confirm that.

Well, they have dead-pools for celeb deaths and the like (ask Michael Barrymore), so why don't we have a paedo-pool (no, not like Michael Jacksons).
I reckon in the next 12 months we'll see one or more of the following:
David Essex
Cliff Richard
Will Young
Michael Jackson (again)
Pete Waterman

Just read the BBC thread, Tam whatshisface ex manager of the Bay City Rollers was also arrested, and it's from the same enquiry that jailed Johnathon King.
Was there some kind of paedo ring going on? How big was this ring?
(After the three of them, probably quite big one would assume, only the victims can say though)
(OK, I'm sick, I know)
One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them.
One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bum them.

I think the reason they got caught though was that they couldn't stick to one ring :naughty:
...and kept on searching for smaller and smaller rings....
bit shocking tbh that but then thats the story of the last year it seems. thing is nothing has been proved, but just him being in the media for it has killed (whats left of) his career. cant say i exactly believe anything i read in the news any more until he's been proven guilty or not.
off the thread topic a little bit but that cop that got stabbed in manchester - these people were suspected terrorists and they were being held by the police but they werent handcuffed? yeah something doesnt add up there.

eh ? so who has been found guilty then? I dont think Matthew whatshisface has actually been proven by a jury of any crime?! Oh no i forgot, trial by tabloids !! So if the sun and the mirror say he is a kiddie fiddler it must be true.
How easily are you lot led :/
Im sure there is truth to the alligations, but i think he is innocent until proven guilty, and we cant really be the judge of that, im gonna leave it to the qualified lawyers and clever ppl and then make my judgements.

yes the head of the peado squad at the met police was sitting at his desk feet up reading the sun.
head of peado squad: hey bob says in the sun matthew kelly is a kiddy fiddler.
bob: oh be jesus, youre kidding me
head of peado squad: na it says it here in black and white
bob: must be true ffs, lets nick him
i really dont think the police arrested him just cos the tabloids said he was ;)
no smoke without fire and all
What Briggerz said.
Even though the pigs aren't infallible (Guildford 4, Birmingham 6, S Club 7 etc.), I would imagine they would have to have a damn good reason before even thinking about taking somebody in for questioning on the grounds that have been implied.
In any case, I want him to be guilty. Because he does my f**king head in.

I'm not one to jump to conclusions anymore (I wont lookat m.kelley in a diff light until he's actually CONVICTED), but it's getting very disturbing the number of cases now. Is there something in our minds scientists havent found yet, that makes all old men want to diddle children?? It's f**ked up right, even one of my old secondary school teachers was caught and convicted.

The Sun's power doesnt end there, it has the ability to dictate government policy.
It can also control the animals of the world, and the weather!
Don't forget the ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
Evidence of dictating government policy? Or is that too much to ask?

why do you always feel the incessant need to relay what you have been taught on your "journalism" course. The Sun does not have the power to dictate the governments policy, its exerts influence to a certain extent, but just remember this government does not cater for the "working class". Unless of course the middle class, curtain twitching daily mail readers have all changed allegiance.

I wasnt taught that, we dont look at the sun much because it contains so little news.
The Sun does not have the power to dictate the governments policy, its exerts influence to a certain extent, but just remember this government does not cater for the "working class". Unless of course the middle class, curtain twitching daily mail readers have all changed allegiance.
Ever since the British people gained universal suffrage the government has had to cater for as many groups as possible, the biggest ones taking priority. As the working class massively out number the middle class, they get catered for quite a lot. A government cannot go directly against the will of the majority because they simply wont vote for it again, when the people shout the government has to listen, thats a big part of the government's role, keeping in touch with the opinions of the majority and then governing in a way which reflects them.
Newspapers and journalists in general are representatives of the people. This is why at least one journalist is allowed into every trial, even when the public and other judges and magistrates are barred out. The journalist is there as a representative of the people, to make sure nothing unfair, or of intrest occurs without being brought to the attention of the public.
Thats' also why democracy cannot function without a free press. If the press are constrained or limited in what they can report and what they have access to, then the public are not being properly informed and the government can get away with injustices, as it has in the recent past and may very well be doing now, who knows?
All this makes the press a very potent political player. To sell more newspapers, journalists have to take on the opinions of the audience they are writing for, people dont like their views to be challenged by what they read, hence the majority of the 3 million people who read the Sun per day will agree with what it says. The government cannot ignore 3 million people, thats effectively ignoring 3 million votes, so when the Sun roars "Save the Pound" the pound is saved.
You could take the marxist theory that the lower classes are simply decieved by the government which puts on a facade of freedom and democracy whilst only listening to the wealthy and descion makers. There maybe some truth in that but only very little as can be proved with the case of the pound. Keeping the pound damages British business. Already financial companies are moving out of London and into Frankfurt where the European Central Bank is based, Industry is moving out of Britain and into the north of France (Calais area) but the government cant move to the Euro, although it so clearly makes sense, because the working class want the pound and so does the Sun. Every time theres any talk of moving to the single currency the Sun sticks a full front page headline of "Save The Pound" and people back down.
The working class don't get catered for.
The education system s set up to be completely in favour of the middle classes, especially with the introduction of Uni fees.
Main concerns of the government are all middle class:
Transport, Education, Some sh*tty war in some s*tty country somewhere.
None of this is what the working classes need fixed, they want jobs, pensions and better living conditions whereas the middle classes dont so much, they have jobs, and can usually afford a private pensions, and can afford a 'nice' house in a 'nice' area because of this.
The press is never a 'tool of the people' - it is ideologically, but it is infact 'Making stuff that happens interesting by selling a certain view point', to be a form of expression of the people, it'd have to cover all views, and it'd have to be a forum of sorts.
And the euro?
Im sure prescott wakes up and goes "I wanna join the euro" but blair goes "actually we can't, cos the sun says so"
And Im sure people buy the sun for stories such as "Jon Bon Jovi star w*nks off dog" and for the nice breasts on page three.
I know I do.

Transport, Education, Some sh*tty war in some s*tty country somewhere. None of this is what the working classes need fixed, they want jobs, pensions and better living conditions
The working class have little intrest in education, thats partly why they are working class, they are intrested in war however because they simply dont understand the complexities and realities of it. A lot of the people I have spoken to think Sadam is evil incarnate and its an almost religious duty to slaughter him and his race. War has always been used as a distraction (not its primary function, but it always happens) so that people forget all the problems the government have forced on them and instead put all their frustrations, hatreds and fears into one man who they have never seen or heard and who has no bearing on their lives.
They dont want jobs they want money, work is the means of aquiring money, money is the means of aquiring alchol and alchol they see as the cause of, and solution to, all their problems.
Pensions the government dont have a choice on. The average age of the population is increasing but early retirement is as well so the burden on tax payers pockets to fund the elderly's miserable and futile twilight years ever increases. People now live longer, kept alive beyond their intented limits by drugs and technology, with a quality of life I wouldnt force on a dog even if it had sh*t on my chair.
And finally living conditions, a subject I spoke with my oldest brother about at christmas because he travels a lot. He says that in all the other countries he has visited (Sweden, Germany, USA, Australia etc etc) there is a much higher standard of living. I asked him whether he thinks this is due to us spending excessively on a military force where as most states like England dont. He thinks that as much as that it is down to attitudes. We dont recycle, we dont like to pay, we dont like to work, we dont care about our health much prefering fish and chips followed by a good piss up to a healthy and higher quality living. Apathy and disillusionment are epidemic.
:stare:
i can churn this crap out all day .
You need to attend university to learn that the Government listens to the rich and ignores the poor? One thing it seems to teach you that all the working class are crackpot-anti Muslim alcoholics who hate education!
Hooray for sweeping generalisations!
Mr.Wh1te
17-01-2003, 19:21
by definition generalisations have exceptions. I cant really poll the entire nation on these matters and write each individuals opinions in detail so I put the trends which various groups tend to follow. People always have a go at generalisations but they are almost always accurate providing you accept that there are always a very small minority of exceptions.
Mr.Wh1te
17-01-2003, 19:23
the working class are crackpot-anti Muslim
I never mentioned religion. Heres another generalisation. In a nation predominantly comprised of atheists religion is not a factor in formulating opinions.
A lot of the people I have spoken to think Sadam is evil incarnate and its an almost religious duty to slaughter him and his race.
Ok you did add "almost" but it's still the point against Saddam and his people, mostly Muslims.
Your generalisation is that the solution for all working class people is alcohol, which is quite blatantly untrue. Although you dont sound like you've ever mixed with the working class, so I'll ignore it..

Halo it's nothing to do with working class and middle class. FYI, the working classes do not massively outnumber the middle classes in the UK. It's more to do with the fact that the majority of voters are uninformed. They tend to be uninformed (sic) by the Sun so I guess Labour might play along with that, but u can't really blame the Sun... they're just there to make money. The government, on the other hand, actually have duties which tend to have a lot less to do with winning votes than the reality of the situation would lead you to believe. Something is wrong. His initials are T.B., and here's a clue: it isn't Tony Benn, Toni Braxton, or Trevor Brooking.

Correction, the middle class tend to be more informed about things they consider important, and likewise working class people tend to know more about the fundamental important things in life.
The upper class tend to know how to saddle a horse and how best to pack a wicker picnic hamper into a Range Rover and that's about it
And Bumbling George is as informed as a tree :O

I suppose he may have written to them to thank them. After all if celebs are stupid enough to use their credit cards...
The other things is with all the media attention you'd have to be thick as two short planks not to have formatted your hard drive and burnt your "family album" by now. Evidence going up in smoke as it were.
