anyone use this anymore? at one point im sure it was the most popular thing on the net after napster, u were officially the "lose" if u didnt have it
no one ever seems to have that little flower thing on, i personally havnt used it in nuff time, last i remember it was being overrun with porn adds,

I do :) Never get any porn links nowadays tbh, securitys quite good a preventing that crap if u set it up correctly.
Used to have it before i had IRC. Now its pretty redundant as everyone i'd have on my ICQ list is in an irc room :/
I use trillian so just leave it on. As long as a few friends use it I will keep my number.

Yeh Wireplay 2.30 chat rooms are the first thing I remember. Didn't it used to be compulsory to meet in one before a match in the really early leagues? I'm sure it was in the season 1 or 2 rules or maybe the ladder.

Still use ICQ when I remember, not the chat-rooms though. Mostly useful cos you can send a message when people are offline. Used to use it a lot with UO and planetarion back when it was new, had a couple of hundred contacts. Dont play them anymore so now I've got about 12 and I only know who half of them are. Pants.

lol, CSC used the WP2.3 chatrooms too, until me and Nicksta convinced them all to install MICR, and the thing kept messing up with my account so I had to keep adding an extra z to my name. Ended up with Razzzzzzzz at one stage.
As for ICQ, I reinstalled it a week or so ago now and it's still as crap as ever ;P

It's sooooo much better than anything else.
MSN for a start has more security holes than a piece of cheese with lots of security holes in.
stopped using it since all i got was messages from 'SALLEH WEB CAM 18' etc

You can block those porn pager messages anyway :O
Its handy for leaving msgs for ppl who are off line.
And sendnig free sms to friends. when it works, but the msgs can take a long time for the person to recieve lol
aye used to use it for sms - but got tired of 'failed message try again later!11' stuff :/
the new version was cpu power loving too if i remember right :O

get icq lite from www.icq.com if u were really annoyed by the many stupid options there were, this has only a couple :)

I still have 99b at home, Don't use it anymore mind you, formatted, forgot to back up my contacts and couldn't be arsed to re-add them all again.
