Adaware = bad

According to this article (http://www.spywareinfo.com/newsletter/archives/december-2002/12252002.php) on www.SpywareInfo.com, Ad-aware has really turned to **** lately. Ad-aware hasn't had a reference file update since September 24th, 2002, and it turns out that it's actually DANGEROUS to use Ad-aware nowadays due to the way it incorrectly cleans some forms of spyware that require great amounts of precision to clean without breaking your system and requiring you to reformat.

Saw this on SA forums and just posted here for you lot. The guy goes on to recommend SpyBot S&D (http://security.kolla.de)

yeh when i was visiting back home for christmas i ran adaware on my parents comp, only to have to use systemrestore to actually get it working again afterwards, dunno what it took off but it certainly screwed it up :(

suffice to say i wont be using adaware on my own comp :P
