I'm talking REALLY decent. Not one of those great big nomad brick things.
I've got a tiny minidisc recorder (Sony MZ-r90) which has lasted me years but I want something even smaller for use in the gym.
Needs to have at least 128mb but preferably 256. Must be extremely small, flashy and lightweight.
Price isn't really a problem :D
Try Here! (www.google.com)
search 'cool flashy mp3 players'

I know one girl at my 6th form who has a ickle sony silver one, 128Mb, £250 i think.
Theres quite a few flash ones at www.firebox.com IIRC.
(if you want huge storage, try the jukebox zen, or the archos multimedia, 20Gb style! yus!).
Im currently using the intel pocket concert, bit old as i got it last year, still 128mb tho. Dont know if you can get it new anymore however.
diamond rio pmp 500. cheap now (i think!) takes smartmedia (up to like 256mg i think (not sure)) which is well cheap, only takes 1 battery very light.
have had mine for over 2 years and couldnt recommend it enough - it uses standard smartmedia which you can get well cheap. usb too so its fast :)
I prefer it over hte other rios due to the fact that it doesnt rely on diamond for memory upgrades and has 64mg built in.

I'll have a look.
I'm not after a massive brick like those 20gb things. If I want loads of storage I'll use my minidisc. I just want something that I can wip a couple of hours of music on for the gym (hence needing 256mb really. Or 128mb for an hour) and it has to be tiny otherwise I'd just use the minidisc :)
I've got an MZR-70, why the hell do you want anything smaller for the gym? I guess you'd be looking at the sony stick storage things or something from firebox (http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=firebox&action=cat&id=mp3) but the mini disk is smaller than my wallet and I take it to the gym if I go on my own all the time.

Cos the gym is full of rich beautiful people and I want to impress them :)
Also I wear shorts in the gym so there's no where to put my minidisc really (i.e. no pocket).

I just bought this one (128MB version which hold about 30 songs).
http://www.samsungelectronics.com/digital_audio_player/yepp/yp_30s.html
Smaller than a matchbox and comes with neckband, armband and beltclip.
Tis ace :x

Not bad for about a 100 squids.
Still there are smaller. And that doesn't have enough memory. That would fit about 6 or 7 tunes on which isn't enough for a good session :(
Closest thing to meeting my needs so far is MPIO DMK but even then I'm reluctant. Might just stick with my minidisc until something decent comes out using that new audio standard (can't remember name).
The LG small square MP3 player is what I've had for ages and I've beenn well impressed. It comes with a 32mb card but has 2 slots and the cards are now available in 128mb/256 can't remember :E
Anyway, I've got the 32 and a 128 in it and its great.

Nah it's still too heavy to have in my pocket when I'm doing aerobic training because it's bouncing all over the place. Just want something tiny that I can't even tell is there.

What's wrong with one of the little Panasonic ones? They take SD so upto 1gb of storage (if you're willing to pay) and they support ATRAC format, so it will sound just as good as your mindisc.
It's even got a stram so you can wear it like a watch if you want.
Can't remember the model number though.

Hmmm the only Panasonic one I saw that was decent was that one that was the worlds smallest i.e. the only one smaller than the one I was considering. Had a nicer screen but only 64MB it said and I thought this was fixed. 64mb is unusable.
