Will character transfer be implemented??

I got bout 6 friends from The Darkside shard who wants to join this shard, but they can't bear to leave their characters there. so will it be implemented??

Looking for replies from gms, not flames from mortals.

this is one of the things that i have mentioned a week or two back and i assume we'll need to have a proper discussions about it, i suggested that we only do it from some of the recognised shards and we must be given your account details so we can check it out, i think that we should limit it to one char per account if something along these lines is implemented, i'll try and keep you updated though :)

I want my char carried accorrs then etc. I got like gm evrythign on everyshard. So ill be happy if ull carry them acroos and not make me work for it !! Ta. Ps skill gains r easier on some shards so in a way i did Jack **** For me skills

nice idea, horrible in practice, i say no.

not only are there different skill caps and gain rates and stuff like that, but if u dont invest any time here to get strong, u wont have the same incentive to play that someone who invested 100's of hours

not only that, but its also unpleasant for the existing players who play for 100's of hours and then get owned by a 2 hour old maxxed out character

and btw try gming all skills on The Darkside. Also, most UO players have existing shards already. he only way we can get them to come try this 1 is by bringing their chars here.

Tds i played for a long time U start with nearly gm magery u can gm it in like 3 hours. Try that here. And that was a gm :O)

something like that promotes shard jumping, and quite honestly if i ran a shard i wouldnt give characters account details away in the first place, for both reasons of possible impersonation, as well as the fact that im practicly giving away my playerbase.

ok, i know some smart a*s would say, 'you're the one that started it' or some crap like that based on the understanding of players here.

ooh and pking a newbie that just joined the shard less than an hour since they joined is NOT gonna promote this shard.

heh char transfer would be idiotic, if u transfered a character from another shard you could be gm everything and have weapons like +80 halbreds of vanquishing and flamestrike

it takes abou' 3 mion to make a shard, you would be able to make a character and brign hin here. Transferrring character would only be expected from an admin who must have no idea how sphere even runsn im sure dat firefly knows whats up
