I was going to look into one of those radeon 9500s, but found I had slightly more cash available than I expected. What, in you forever eternal wisdom, shall I spend 230 quid on to replace my poor nackered GF2:GTS2?

Mucho gracias.

why spend double when u can get the same performance for half?
Buy a radeon and a Louis Vuitton wallet or something. :)

Think I might splash out on watercooling anyway. Get it? Splash out?

..ouch. :P

I'm on a Radeon 9700 Pro... very nice running so far. Can run Asheron's Call 2 at 1600x1200

But you may want to wait and see for the geforce FX's stats.

Rumours abound that it's incompatible with 6 (7?) major games...but just rumours.

The gfFX will still be hideously expensive when it comes out, so your price range is your only limit after waiting for the results of FX reviews and benchmarking.

I thought someone might say that as I wrote the title. I should've known.

If you're going to plump for a graphics card you can't go wrong with a 9500. Chances are you're getting a 9700 pro when you buy one - and if you don't just send it back within 7 days for a full guaranteed refund.
