View Full Version : War! Huh! What is it good for...
...Filling the coffers of the military-industrial complex! Say it again, etc.
Been skimming through some of my favourite tinfoil hat sites tonight and I came across this (http://www.thememoryhole.org/corp/iraq-suppliers.htm). Now, if this turns out to be true (and lets face it - it probably is) then the possibility of a war with Iraq is going to make quite a few accountants over here pitch a tent at the thought of repeat orders.
US goes to war with Iraq. Saddam deposed. A few years pass by. New dictator installed. New orders placed with said companies to replace the kit confiscated/destroyed during the war. Repeat to fade.
War Against Terror my bellend.
Bunch of conspiracy bullsh!t
Surely Microsoft should be on there coz there must be 1 PC in the entire Irqi defence system with windows installed.

It is clear what must be done!
KEEEEEEEL Hewlett-Packard
KEEEEEEEL ICS
Who's with me!
...
Dunno what to believe really. Anybody can throw up a webpage and a some cock and bull story. The fact that a few papers have reported it means very little too.
I don't doubt that there is more than WMD at the heart of this impending war. However I would rather remove Sadaam now instead of waiting for him to accumulate these weapons and let him do some damage.

I think War is a very good idea.
The more ways they can find of keeping soldiers from beating their wives up and being gobby down pubs at the weekend the better.
R = rocket program
K = conventional weapons, military logistics, supplies at the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, and building of military plants
1. Honeywell (R, K)
If Saddam is using central heating pumps in his nuclear weapons then fair play to him, I'd leave him to it cos they'd be luckly to clear the walls of Baghdad :D

Anyone see Between Iraq And A Hard Place?
Interesting stuff.
Basicaly though Phats is right in that if we get rid of Sad's then we'll have to make sure we install and arm a new regime in order to "ensure stability" in the area. To do that the US, UK and probably the world bank will have to cough up a shed load of cash so that they can buy (mostly US and a chunk of UK) weapons.
No one wants him to have wmd but going to war will only make matters worse imho.
Who said anything about a conspiracy? It's just common sense.
For the benefit of Wildfire and other special needs kids - Johnny buys two cans of Coke, drinks one, but has the other stolen by Billy. Johnny then buys another can of Coke. Did Coca-Cola pay Billy to steal Johnny's drink? Unlikely. But who would benefit the most from the situation? Coca-Cola.
Where does Saddam get his equipment? Does he just magic it up from out of nowhere? It’s well known that Iraq is a worldwide centre for scientific and industrial excellence, and can quite easily put together a full-scale chemical and biological R&D programme, because everyone knows that the main ingredients to such a programme are sand, camels and Dickie Davies look-a-likes.
He cannot (and does not) get all the equipment he needs locally.
If companies boycotted the b*****d completely then maybe we wouldn’t be in the situation we are now, but money is money, whether it’s from the man next door, or the megalomaniacal fruitcake over the water (not Bush, the other one).
I dont think its about terrorists either :S
Its all about oil.
Where does Saddam get his equipment?
We sold them to him

What the allies should have done was to offer free Windows 95 installations. Then its just a matter of waiting before someone crashes a PC bringing the whole defensive network down.
Can see the headlines now.
"Bill Gates stops war with ****e OS"
Oh dear.
Whats all this talk of installing a new regieme?
Anyone noticed how we've not actually heard what America intends to use as an exit plan, and when they're asked they just run away screaming "Holy f*ck I dunno!"?
I'd prefer not to be nuked or be biologically/chemically attacked so I know what I'd do.
How's sadam going to nuke you?
he sends it thru the post like normal people
if he uses royal mail then we're all safe then :D
what about consignia? wtf?
Royal mail is the mail delivery system. Consignia are just the parent company. :P
hopefully saddam is as confused as i am

I thought Consignia changed their name again? After all, it only cost ten million or so the first time.
Anyway. Yes the US must have something up their collective sleeve for after the holy war. My contacts are hinting that the countries name will be changed (to make sure there's no bitter taste) and the most likely name is Shell.
Wah-wah-waaaaah!
