Ok WHAT IN THE HELL GOES ON HERE!? Why isnt the server up? I burnt the game for a friend today and he would probably wanna try it out but umm it doesnt work. What is going on here? I havent played for like a month.

we're having trouble with the server, when the admin gets on it will be rebooted and all will be ok

the actual admin is rarely around

so it could be a while before it gets rebooted

Well, as you know the server's crashed for whatever reason. I hope it wasn't one of the ones threatening to crash the server on purpose to try and force a reboot but I guess we won't know for now. As we've been saying for the last week or so, there's no-one with access to the box the shard is on so there can't be a reboot to fix some of the curent problems. However now that it's crashed, there's no-one to restart the server so it'll be down for the immediate future. Sorry about this, it's a fairly sh*te position to be in but we're in it so we'll have to deal with it as best we can :)

From what I gather all the information is still contained on the server (world, saves, chars, etc) but there's simply no-one to turn the server on.

No-one with access to the actual computer the server is run on is around. So basically there is bugger all any of the GM who are usually on can do about the situation.

but isnt hosting a shard on a server you have little or no access to a bit....... silly?

dont get me wrong i apreciate what you guys do providing a well run free shard to play on.
