View Full Version : Death to all.
Never form up with Jabbah :P
He flew so close to a planet my ship collided.
Took me straight into the heart of enemy territory.
Strung me across the galaxy.
Forced me to spend all my money on a ship, and then expect me to defend myself against massives off attacks.
And then get peed off with me not being formed up as I get bombared by enemy fire and cruise disrupters!
Moral of the story, follow him, sure, just keep 1 system behind him :D
Ah, but he does lend you money.
But then you lose it on repairs and such :P
Just treked across the galaxy, and after giving Jabbah some money, and repairing along the way while he stopped off in radiation fields I only made a profit of about $5K
Why don't you go solo with a freighter for a while then? That'd prob be the best option :)
Berlin with Diamonds to Tokyo, Tokyo with Engine parts (I think) to Cambridge, Cambridge with Gold to Berlin, that's a few hundred thousand :)
I'm making a killing smuggling artifacts atm :D

i dunno about you lot but having the best ship and weapons in the game, and being neutral with every gang kinda made the game boring.
all in two days of playing multiplayer :(
dash just cant fly straight lol, follow him and get motion sickness.

The whole point of having the best ship is to use her to kill all the police and the Navy:E

yeh i did that cuz i was bored. all the normal people just went after me and i couldnt dock anywhere
then i deleted it...
the game is far far too shallow
I think it'll will be better when Wireplay have a large server running.
Then I can fly around being a pirate type thing.
How is freelancer? I played the demo, but than didn't want to spend the 50 or so dollars on a real version. Is it worth it?
It gets boring quick.
Hopefully a full server where I can go around and harras people might be more interesting, but once you've explored the universe, made a mint and suited out your ideal ship, there is nothing else to do.
Apart from attack convoys and other players. But people just get in a huff.

It helps if you pick on established players and not ones like me and Para who've been in the server five minutes :P
Yeah, well they all get upset to, so I was thinking, if I pick on new players perhaps you'll think it's the done thing and not whinge.
That didn't work, so I went to pick on established players and they whinged too.
Which is why I propose default players start with a better ship and about 40K spending money.
tbh i didnt whinge, i said i was coming to manhatten and u said ok see u there, then attacked me :E if i thought u were serious i wouldnt have come straight to you would i :)

PK'ers, never get away from them no matter what the game.
Fine by me though as I think a couple of decent pk'ers on a server will keep things a bit lively. Once i've got a ship with a half decent setup (where one shot from your cannon's doesn't destroy my shields, Dash), then I'll be a PK Bounty Hunter.
This is why I think default players should start with half a chance against us.
Maybe a Britonia heavy fighter to start with.

I seem to remember seeing a server where there was a "No PvP in New York" rule - which I think is fair, particularly combined with a slightly more advanced ship (not too much, those early days where you're building up experience and equipment are fun, particularly compared to later stages where the progress slows somewhat).
A rule like that, defining "safe" system(s) would allow noobs to safely build up a little cash, improve their level and ship without having to worry about Dash swooping in and killing them before they even realise he's there...

i think thats fair tbh
Yeah, seems like a good idea. Not only does it protect newbies, it also makes a nice safe haven for people who have run out of friends.

Just need to create a police force now to keep the peace. We all know there are people out there who will plain ignore any 'no pk'ing in New York' rules.
Alas that's the problem with any game.
Except for possibly chess...
