Any chance of hot topics ?

I have to admit I'm quite fond of a hot topics page where I can instantly see what topics are being posted to. I know its not too difficult thing to achieve with vb and was wondering whether its on the list of things to do ?

Could perhaps combine the page with a news page and give us a useful front end for frequent visitors to read that isn't full of information at the top that we only want to read once.

Ah thats good news mate. The front page for Wireplay has the news www.wireplay.co.uk but the problem I have is I can't be bothered wading through all the stuff I've only ever read once to get to the news. So, like alot of folk, I just bookmark the forums page and miss out any news completely :(

With a new front page with news and hot topics I think it could really help with swelling the numbers of those who use the forum and those who post regularly.

Another addition I'd like to see, is the quick reply box in threads. Can only help to make the place more easy to use, and if you've got the forum software with those options may aswell use them.

or

hot topics - latest/most popular threads on site front page?

(both would be useful)

quick reply box is a hack and would need forums upgrading first.
