WP Bans DB

Can we have an IRC channel with WP called #wp.bans or similar? So the CL/DCL's of each community can idle chat and develop their knowledge the dif acsw products we use. I am still developing an in depth knowledge of PB but would love to learn more about admin mod etc.. Would also be a good place to recieve motp for Q & A and the ultimate....

Wireplay bans submission carries on as normal but with the added bonus of a 'live' irc channel. Bonus includes : Always other CL's DCL's there to help you or answer questions you might have on the fly. The full benefit of this would appear as and when we get real access, questions can be asked and the answer put to use right away, or when developing your particualer community server cfgs.

Thats a point Q3 CL/DCL access, can it be fixed or is there a standard account name p/w ?

There is nothing stopping you from creating a channel if you want :)

Wouldn't that make just yet another channel for officials to have to idle in, and yet another channel to remember to direct people to when they come into #wireplay and ask for help.

Would it not be easier to just have the officials idle in #wireplay so that they can respond, seeing that is where most players who don't know the game specific channels turn up first (quite logically).

Alternately, we could stick to the existing system of sending them from #wireplay to the relevant game channel.

(I am assuming there is already a secret admin/officials only channel for all the secret discussions you need to have, just like the official/mod forums :naughty: )

Just can't see the benefit of having yet another channel (says the guy that doesn't actually do any game admin ;) )

Access to to the WP Ban DB itself for Quake 3 CL/DCL's who has access ? If so who? If not how can we get access?

I had a quick glimpse and can see a login panel, I presume thats for the manual update of numbers players etc?

Aye Cust. There are already a lot of WP channels. I try not to idle in any more than I'm required in.
