I was thinking the other day how funny it would be if I could set up a boxing leage where players pay 3gp to get in and 2gp per bet on a fighter then watch fighters beat each other to death! and the people who bet on the winner gets the winnings split between them ones who bet on the losers get nothing!and the money to get in pays the fighters

so what does everyone else think of this just as entertainment and its not exactly a massive amount of money! but would be a bit of fun! all I would need to run this event is either a castle or sum where with a enclosed place where the fights can take place but must be locked off dont want people watchin for free!

they have a boxin ring in tournament town... it looks gh3y but hey... they have not done an event using that i dont think :/ but 2gp per fight is cheap0... like 5k per fight would be elite... but it would last too long using punches... but it would be elite person w/ higher wrestling wins... but then if you both have gm wrestling the match would never ever end... boo to this idea sry :(

but what would be cool if soem1 is ownage scriptor could make like those roman stadium things and we could have gladiator type things... but yer...

No tbh that would actually be cool... a group of 4 or 5 warriors in the middle and around them are gladiators on foot and on horse spawned...


[ontopic:] Boxing is cool aye... you can bet as much as like 50k... just like with horse races irl... and either lose that money or double your money...

Boxing wouldn't be very exciting,
betting is a good idea though (perhaps it would be nice cash flow)

Anyway, the gladiator idea is reaaaly cool, and the last group standing earns some cash.

If this happens betting should be player run. not by a GM. Betting like this can lead to fixed matches :)

Fat Toni if Joe blogs bets 1,000 gold and wins with low odds and he is owed 40k I bet most players are going to scarpa instead of paying, I like the idea though and you may see the next PVP or PVM with GM's taking bets.

yey I came up with a good idea :D how ever people have knicked it and I won't get a cut of the profit now :( darn never mind would have been fun to arrange but hey still fun to watch!

Deusovis had one of those roman arenas, even as a like 13 meg statics download it was laggy as could be :dead:


And the boxing ring used to have an elite pvp script with like random things spawning on the opponent depending how much your owning them and stuff.

The problem with these new fights people suggest is there must be some way to regulate magery use. All the pvp events on this shard I've seen seem to be who can cast the fastest or has the best macros. Then again, when people suggest true 'melee' combat, others say, booo, it'd be boring, but I guess thats just the OSI melee system for you, just 2 people standing next to each other, swinging their weapons. Boxing sounds good in theory, but you'd have to come up with some nice fighting scripts to make it interesting. The gladiator one sounds nice though. :)
