Someone tell me if there is a new GTA coming out

This has been a debait between me and my mates about wether or not we are to expect a new installation to the Grand Theft Auto Series.if you know whats it is to be called that would be much apreciated.

They probably are going to release another in the series, after all the GTA franchise is RockStar's biggest cash cow at the moment. However nothing has been announced since Vice City AFAIK

Ask in alt.games.grand-theft-auto - used to be my hauntings, but since GTA3 was released I had to vacate due to the shear amount of PS2 inbreds in there.

I doubt it, they are pumping new games out now, like Midnight Club 2

a new GTA has already been anounced at e3 (sony mentioned it in there pre e3 presentation)

however its a long way off

the new GTA will probably not be released untill 2005 because they need to wait for the playstation 3 since they have reached the limit for the PS2 with Vice city

See, I heard they where doing GTA Pensioner next.
It's where the hero is now of retirement age and he's jacked in his life of crime.

Instead he trundles up busy streets expectionally slowly, stopping for absolutely no reason causing those behind him to crash in to him; looking like they're trying to mug him and getting filthy looks from passers by.
He then jumps... well ok, due to his hernia, takes 4 days to slowly ease himself into his motor (some oversized piece of metal with the wing mirrors angled so that he doesn't see anything behind him and the indicator switch removed so that he can pull out infront of anything without having to indicate he's going to do so or acknowledge anyone might be there) and drive well under the speed limit in the outside lane.

Missions to include:
going to visit relatives without telling them before hand (The "boy will they be pleased to see me!" level)
Taking 3 hours to do a 3-point turn out of the supermarket carpark (The "We didn't need to take a driving test in my day" level)
Mauling all the fruit in the local greengrocers until they are bruised beyond comprehension before deciding not to buy anything and instead chatting to the dizzy tart behind the till for 4 hours about their bowel movements (The "if you don't f**k off and let me get served I'm going to sort your irritable bowel syndrome out with this water melon level)
and many more...

Aint it be anounced for the xbox? I believe it will goin under the name Vice City so Rockstar get out of their ties with Sony.

I assume this will just be a port of the PS2/PC game tho :/
