they have some very good rock anthems yes. but they also have a lot of music i wouldnt listen to. and whenever i hear them on a cd i feel very 'empty'. it just wasnt rousing enough.
hearing them in concert is amazing tho, with all the crowd singing along and stuff. i woulda loved to be at one.
im gonna vote 'no dont be stupid' cuz when u call someone gay, you call them gay for listening to **** like westlife or celine dion. although queen does get a lot of men excited

Calling people/activities/bands "ghay" or indeed "gay" as an insult is one of the most childish and tragic things I've even witnessed in my life. :)
...
So I voted for "Don't be stupid." Though not nessesarelly in the spirit of the poll. Although actually I have nothing against Queen. :spin:
Queen are / were fantastic.
They might have had some of the dodgiest dress senses invovling all sorts of spandex, but the music was class.
As a matter of fact, I do a mean "Don't Stop Me Now" on karaoke. ;)
Seamus :afro:
what on feck is wrong with this person? :D
another one bites the dust ownz j00!
maybe we should ambush him with a YYYYYYYYYY M C A attack! :E
heheh
Queen were a MASSIVE band. Even from an era of massive bands they stood out. The music had power, it had meaning, it had fun but it also had feeling.
So what if freddy was gay?
so what if brian has the worlds worst haircut?
so what if there is no one on earth that likes every queen song?
they did so much variety that everyone will slike something of theirs.
do not underestimate the power of Queen
or their continuing influence on modern music....
Queen are one of my favourite bands. Whenever I'm upset or depressed putting on a Queen record will usually cheer me up sharpish.
If you want to see what kind of influence they had on the music world, just look at who played at Mercury's tribute concert:
Elton John, George Micheal, Annie Lennox, Axl Rose, David Bowie, Robert Plant, Seal, Slash, Joe Elliot and loads more.
Christ, even that twonk Wyclef Jean slaughtered "Another One Bites the Dust"
