Any idea why I can't seem to find Syberia for the PC anywhere m8? Even Amazon canceled my order because they couldn't obtain it, other online stores seem to be out of stock.

Hi, we don't stock it anymore,
its likely that it is no longer produced unfortunately.
I would recommend trying to hunt down a 2nd hand copy
or put a request in the "Wanted" forums here :)
someone might have a copy.

Cheers m8, but the stangest thing happened. I had a go at odering it from Amazon again and they dispatched it today.

Weird that noone has it, a far as I know it was only released last year sometime.

I've gotta ask something Communal, do you write the front page descriptions for games?

"Rugby 2004
Big men, odd balls, and plenty of mud! (Sep 19)"

"Pirates
Buckle yer swash and shiver yer timbers!"

... :E

Um... er... *&$#!
As far as I know, syberia was released way back when Wireplay was still a BT thing wasn't it?
Unless there's some software house released a game with the same name as a pre-pentium game causing mass confusion?

Wasn't it a sort of sci-fi ish spaceship game with dodgy fmv that was completely on rails? Like that Star Wars game from years ago? Rebel Assault was it?

http://www.syberia.info/

It's a point n click adventure released last year.

It's part of my quest to find point 'n' click games to satisfy an addiction, however obscure they might be.

You tried Sam n Max? Day of the Tentacle? Monkey Island 1&2(:E my fave) Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine? ( I think it's called that...) All Lucasarts classics which are awesome...

/me wishes they'd do a Monkey Island 5 ...

Wasn't Infernal Machine a Tomb Raider-esque game?

The Point and Click Indy games were Fate of Atlantis and The Last Crusade I think.

And now that there is a SCUMM emulator called VMSCUMM or similar on Sourceforge, there is no reason not to try them again :D

I say, that looks rather spiffing actually.

Quite the point and click fan myself (still trying to finish Cruise for a Corpse on WinUAE ;( ) and now that I've seen that will try and get myself a copy.

Cheers :p1mp:

I do love a bit of old skool point and click action, specially Sam and Max (which is still available)
and the Monkey Island Series .. of course :E

I haven't had chance to sample Grim Fandango tho, and thats supposed to be an amazing game

Ah, the old point and click adventures :D Takes me back...

I think Indiana Jones And The Fate of Atlantis was the first PC game I ever played. Loved Sam And Max - the Monkey Island series rocked (didn't like the most recent offering as much though...) and Grim Fandango was great.

Did anyone ever play The Dig? That had a great (if slightly clichéd) storyline too.

Sam n Max is awesome!!!!11

Although I still think the cartoon Sam sounded better...
