I ordered one of these buggers, I dunno when you get off holiday Communal, but if you would'nt mind telling me when you get em in.... :D

I don't have a clue whether it'll be any good, I'm relying on hope.

Thanks!

Some kind of joystick (http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/productpage.asp?productcode=RM00595) apparently

Do you have any idea how hard I had to resist making a smutty joke there? Damn hard, thats how hard.

I been playing with my joystick all week.... (HA!)

I been wanting a new joystick for a while and wanted a relativly cheap one. This seems to fit the bill perfect!

Why not order another joystick then? Sidewinder Precision 2 is a very good joystick, about the same price I think

You did'nt read my above post did you? ;)

"Time to choose another then...."

Also as a sidenote I heard that all Microsoft Joysticks and Controllers for PC including the Sidewinder Precision 2 is being discontinued and as such will recieve no new drivers or support from Microsoft. Not the one for me if I'm gonna keep it for another 5 years ;)

ach, tripe.

As long as you keep an MS operating system support for the joystick will be built right into the system. I have the original Sidewinder Precision Pro and I have never loaded an additional driver for it since I used Windows 98 SE. And its a bloody good joystick as well, its coming on for five years old and its still as good as it was the day I bought it.

And Microsoft's hardware warranty is the best in the business. If it breaks down in its warranty period Microsoft will replace it, no questions asked. They won't even ask for the knackered one back (At least they didn't with the mouse I got replaced)

Meh, I ordered a Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold, I heard it has a few problems with XP but as you say, if so I'll load the default Windows drivers. I heard good things about the Saitek Cyborg so I thought why not. 25 quid too! ;) My old joystick seems to think it's funny to adjust itself mid game... Still I suppose I got some value for money after it breaking down 7 years later... :D
