View Full Version : Help Plz!!!!
I seem to have a problem connecting to the global server. This has only just happened, as i have been playing TNG v1.6 since it was released and v1.59 before that. I have uninstalled the mod, the mod manager and freelancer and my ISP. I've reinstalled my ISP and freelancer but still cant connect to v1.0.
Any ideas?

Does it show on your main screen that you are running v1.0? or have you left a mod 'floating' around.
Oh also have you a fire wall running? and the port open?

It shows I'm running v1.0 now. I've deleted all mods and mod manager. It just gets stuck on "Connecting to global server"!!! I can still connect to my ISP and download and upload to things like winmx. I can also play online at sites like "Gamespy". Really bugging me now........ I need my Freelancer fix!!!!!!!!!!!!
Er none whatsoever, do you have any specific shorcuts setup for fast connect as i read somewhere on lancers forums that it could cause problems, but also i suggest you look at any firewall settings as i have to reconfigure whenever i switch between the 2.
Also it could be your newtwork is having trouble peering through to the global server at the minute, so see if there is any work on at your isp at the minute.
Ok. So now I am really confused. Just tried to connect to the server............... and what do you know? It's only working now!!!

humph! well i play FL:TNG alot, inc. 1.6 and yesterday i was playing it, today, i boot my pc up, load up FL and go for a multiplayer game on the internet (as usual) and what happens? Nothing!:mad:
No FL Servers :mad:
All i get is Connecting to Global servers... or some such message..:bigcry:
I have no idea why suddenly i cannot play! Bah! I see it as an omen to get off my ass and put my new pc together :naughty:
If anyone has any fab quick fixes, please feel free to express them, im off to sulk for a bit.. :frown:
Could be network issues so do ure pc for now and try later
Well, what do you know. Just read your post Mr Orange and thought "i'll just check to see if I can get on..........." and i can't either! :frown:
As for quick fixes, I tried everything last time, but nothing worked. I guess we'll just have to wait..... :furious:

Just tied myself and couldnt connect, so i asume the global server reg is down
Great. Do you get the same "Connecting to global server" message, and then nothing?
Yes it just sits there, so all you can do is try later :/

well, this IS a bit of a bummer. Its all Trickys fault, he told me last night that he was going to deliberatly crash the entire server network so that you would all love him dearly when it is suddenly ok again by his magic touch......honset guv, he said that he did!
Still nothin. If it is the global server reg, how long before it is sorted. I couldn't connect for 3 days last time............... :(
Last time you had trouble it wasnt the master server...... this time it is, and unforetunately i dont know how long it will be :/
just got news that its back up!!!!!!!! :)
People are on the server so i assume it is up and running

I'm away from FL for a couple of days cos of a work overload and look at all the fun I've missed ..... lol
Hope its up and runnin by the time I get done cos I wanna take out my stress on some bad guys :)
